to not want to kiss my DC full on the lips?

I have noticed this mother at the school before, kissing her DS(8) full on the lips, half a dozen times, with wet sloppy kisses outside the classroom door. This morning she was directly in front of me and it was 'mmmmm......mmmmmm......mmmmm.......mmmmmmm....etc' in our faces. I kiss my DS wherever I can aim and catch him (head, cheek, anorak). Am I being weird? When I was at home, wet sloppy kisses on the lips were for people you were married to/in a partnership with. Or AIBU?

YABU. Why do you care how other people kiss their children?

IvorHughJackolantern Mon 08-Oct-12 19:47:59

Sorry to ask the obvious. But what's it got to do with you how other people show their children affection? Or do you think there is something sexually innapropriate in this parent's behaviour? If not, and its just not something that you'd want to do, then I'd suggest you get over it. None of your business. I kiss my boy whenever he happens to be near and they land wherever they land.

YABU to care, I couldn't give two hoots how other parents say goodbye to their kids in the morning.

I'm in the smacker on the lips brigade anyway fwiw grin .

I only ever shake hands with my DS just in case someone gets the wrong idea or in case any emotions break out

Yabu
I love licking my lips and planting extra slobbery kisses on my DCs lips and faces. just the embarrassment factor makes it all worth the while. They do it back too you know, and dc1 makes the mmm noises too, it's all part of the fun. grin

So oral sex with DH previous night, then kissing kids full on lips the next morning. Sorry, I can't do both. It is just wrong.

Why on earth do you have a problem with kisses on childrens lips? Love a smacker on the lips - at school, at home or wherever we want to.

And this is your business why?

UserNameNotAvailable Mon 08-Oct-12 19:56:22

Each to their own but I love kissing my dc on their lips. I've even recently had kisses on the lips from my ds1 who at age 12 stopped kissing me on the lips a few years ago, mind I know not to expect them in front of his mates but it made my day. I love telling them --a million times a day--I love them too.

PorkyandBess Mon 08-Oct-12 19:56:40

I am not a lip kisser with anyone but dh, but your last post, op, is bonkers!

What has it to do with you?

I wouldn't even notice how another parent kissed their own child.

akaemmafrost Mon 08-Oct-12 19:58:15

Right I am off because your last post was seriously weird.

hiddenhome Mon 08-Oct-12 19:58:32

Don't be so hard on the OP. Some of us believe that lips are for partners only. We're not all slobbery snoggers with our kids.

BunnyLebowski Mon 08-Oct-12 19:58:36

Brush your teeth you dirty cow.

NoMoreWineForMeThen Mon 08-Oct-12 19:59:33

"Sounds yucky", really? I must make people physically ill then.

NimChimpsky Mon 08-Oct-12 20:00:05

I assume come the morning you've taken your partner's penis out of your mouth?

You have serious ishooooooooos.
