The 3 big supermarkets are Tesceurgh, Sainsbobs and ASBO in our house.

Not a link on mine. What am I missing?

We need an Argosh!

Or you could ignore something that makes no difference to posts but generates revenue for MN. After all, they do appear to need a new server or three :)

What links? What's changed (scared)

WorraLiberty · 03/10/2012 22:31

Exactly what kekouan said.

Who really cares?

It's better than having to pay to join MN

I noticed it earlier, when I typed J.a c k Wi l.l.s, and there was an automatic linky.

kekouan - I could. Or I could be happy to link to a store that deserves it because they have given great service and I'm happy to endorse them.

I can't see any links, what's going on? Am I not good enough for links now, is that it??

Flojo1979 · 03/10/2012 22:34

What links? I can't see them!

Report
frankie4 · 03/10/2012 22:34

Kekouan , yes but that would mean ignoring all links and some links are useful or funny (M&S pine cone knickers)

YANBU.

I think just adding extra spaces is the easiest way for me to avoid them eg. B o d e n. s a i n s b u r y

My memory isn't the best for any kind of secret code!

Report
kekouan · 03/10/2012 22:35

No, you only have to ignore the shop names.

Surely??

I have no problem with this and I'm baffled why anybody would tbh Confused

But what if I want to complain about a store? I don't want to add to their google rating if I feel people would suffer too.

It just makes me uncomfortable.

Anyway, there are other threads in site stuff discussing it more eloquently then I can.

This is just a light-hearted alternative name game.

We shop in teskyco's here :-)

maxmillie · 03/10/2012 22:38

My friend calls it Primani ( tho I suspect primark will not be a client of whatever agency they are using)

I really object to this, it is tacit endorsement. And if I start a post ranting about how shit Br i t i sh G a s are, for example, as I was going to earlier tonight, I don't want to generate and traffic or business for them and don't want other people shown a link to a company I am advising them all to avoid like the plague.

Ah, I missed the bit about it being lighthearted Grin
Then eBai, ArGUS, Sainsbugs and Tescosity.

I'll go and shout on the other threads :)

I may have forgotten to add the words light hearted in the OP Kekouan....:o

Probably will just put a space in the shop names but worried about words like next or boots. Going to make it all look untidy though!

Motherscare.

Tossco

Twatsda (What staff used to call it when I worked there)

Booden (Halloween inspired)

Cuntingnatwest all as one word?

Actually, that would probably work, adding cuntingxxx, if you forgo capitalisation. Which would irritate me. But will irritate me less than automatic linkys when I wish to slag a company off for poor customer service...

There's your answer. If you don't want it to link, write cuntingsainsbury's or cuntingtalktalk without capitalising the company name.

I'll bet the algorithm hasn't been designed to cope with that...Grin

I can't even say that Pelvic - let alone remember how to spell it!
