To think that it's really really really really really really really annoying when people put far too much information into a thread title and that they should keep the title short and informative?

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere Fri 28-Sep-12 15:49:41

Like I said a while ago: love your posts, Worra grin

Lemonylemon Fri 28-Sep-12 15:50:28

I'll keep it short and sweet:

YANBU grin

EnglishGirlApproximately Fri 28-Sep-12 15:54:11

YANBU - I just clicked onto AIBU and thought I'd opened my kindle app by accident, far too many words.

Pagwatch Fri 28-Sep-12 15:58:29

Ooh. Not sure.
Because the thing I hate most in the world are posts like

Aibu to think that my dh shouldn't have given me a .......

Fucking hate those!

NickNacks Fri 28-Sep-12 15:59:54

I hate even more ones which just say 'AIBU?'

LRDtheFeministDragon Fri 28-Sep-12 16:00:30

Absolutely! grin

WorraLiberty Fri 28-Sep-12 16:28:48

grin Truth be told I'm jealous as this was as long as I could make it...yet it's not as long as the other ones? angry

NickNacks threads that just say AIBU? Really wind me up.

But oddly it winds me up more when they can't even be bothered to use upper case letters.

WilsonFrickett Fri 28-Sep-12 16:30:00

YANBU, seriously, I can only see around 3 threads atm. Do people seriously expect me to scroll down?

WorraLiberty Fri 28-Sep-12 16:35:56

I hear you Wilson

I've had to pay the Butler overtime to do it for me sad

quoteunquote Fri 28-Sep-12 16:39:04

I'm not sure what you mean, could you be a little more specific?

WorraLiberty Fri 28-Sep-12 16:42:48

My bad quoteunquote I should have added another 'really' to the title to make it clear grin

BadgersRetreat Fri 28-Sep-12 16:53:38

the front page of AIBU is giving me a headache

Mintyy Fri 28-Sep-12 16:55:33

Agree with Paggy.

BenandBolly Fri 28-Sep-12 16:57:48

Although I hate even more people who jump on a thread and predict the outcome in a very condescending way like....

"this is not going to end well" "I'll pull up a chair" etc! Annoying!

THEMardy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:01:25

You need the information in the thread title to see whether it's work clicking onto. If it's just "AIBU to be upset by MIL?", then you don't know whether the MIL is a complete toxic cow (worth a click) or just feeding the kid the odd fruit shoot (meh). So you need more info in the title, like "AIBU to be upset by MIL letting herself in my house and taking photos of me and DH at it on the sofa?"

WorraLiberty Fri 28-Sep-12 17:03:24

Yeah but at least 2 threads are like War and Peace!

Mind you, sometimes I've not bothered to click a thread cos the title looked boring and then eventually realised it was a goodun.

THEMardy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:04:21

OK that one is taking the piss.

Besom Fri 28-Sep-12 17:05:51

See I think 'Aibu to be upset by MIL?' is OK because it tells me it's going to be a good old MIL rant and that's all I need to know.

THEMardy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:09:45

Why why why needs to be more specific. I wasted 3 seconds of my lift clicking on it.

scottishmummy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:10:44

stop fishing for compliments with faux aibu
it's obvious
it's lame

to post an inane post in a stating the very bleeding obvious way,to garner support, and mwaw mwaw you is so right Hun comments. it's calked aibu to provoke reaction seek opinion. not have your arse kissed that your not wrong about overly long titles

LRDtheFeministDragon Fri 28-Sep-12 17:11:39

I hate the ones that pretend to be exciting:

['s bread dough instead of kneading it]

[total lack of grammar regarding the first person singular]

Discriminatory Blue Badge
[-er speaks out against black-and-white cousins]

THEMardy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:12:21

To give worra her due, I don't think she was necessarily fishing for compliments.

THEMardy Fri 28-Sep-12 17:13:40

I don't like the thread titles that are sensationally exciting, but when you click on them, it's usually somebody trying to get you to sign an unrelated petition or something.
