Have namechanged for this. I'm 16 weeks preg and have been married for 3 years. I've had to come to THE clinic today as gen warts have come bk in preg not had them in 7 years before I met DH.
Anyways have brought myself here for treatment was hoping to be in and out quietly but a woman from my local is here :( know her daughter to say hello to, the woman deffo knows who I am she knows some people in my family. Have avoided all eye contact bit she knows who I am- this is awful.

I wouldn't worry. The clinic normally has an unwritten rule similar to that of fight club.

Maybe the woman is just as embarassed as you at being there?

Stating the bleeding obvious - she's going to be just as red-faced as you

If she says anything (I'm sure she won't) just ask nicely If she was just there by mistake! She's there for the same reason as you so I wouldn't worry too much :)

Yep - she's there too, just share wry smile :)

I'm sure she'll feel the same as you.

Don't worry.

My dh is embarrassed when I buy femfresh at the supermarket, but I say it's better to have a clean foofoo!

Hope it all gets sorted quickly for you, don't be embarrassed.

Does your DH know you're going there? (just wondering in case she does gossip)

But it's highly unlikely as the others say - she's there for the same thing.

You also do have the excuse of getting it mixed up with the antenatal department - you just knew it was a 'down there' place Grin

Don't worry - it'll be fine :)

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy. Don't die of shame. The woman is also in THE clinic so she may be feeling the same as you. She doesn't know why you're there so keep your head up and don't worry. If anyone asks, you can say you were referred there by your midwife as they're doing some research on effects of pregnancy on urine retention. (off top of my head). Don't look embarrassed if you can help it. Good luck.

Just because you're there doesn't have to mean you're there for an sti ( even though you are). You could be getting a vaccination for hep b or something else, or asking about abnormal thrush during pregnancy.

Thanks all, yes DH knows I'm here thankfully. I'm just worried that she will think/tell others that I've been up to no good as
It does look like that she knows I'm married and pregnant she would think its an old problem coming bk

I rocked up for my smear test last week, called into the room by a woman i've known for years to chat to at the school gate, or if we meet in town Shock She was previously a school nurse at the local comp.

Now she works in the local GPs and does smear tests ... shouldn't have been Blush, (after 3 kids), but i was a bit Hmm laying there knicker-less with my knees east and west in front of her doing all the usual village gossip ...

But OP please don't worry. Surely she wont really be telling others anything like that will she?

If she gossips then she will have to tell people why she is there. Could you imagine her starting a conversation with her daughter 'I was in the clinic today and you will never guess who I saw......' I imagine her daughter wouldn't give a fuck who was there apart from her Mother.
