Yes, surely you have something better to do than wash stuff that's just been washed.

larks35 Thu 27-Sep-12 13:26:49

Too fussy imo, but I am a slattern grin

controlpantsandgladrags Thu 27-Sep-12 13:27:05

Yes yabu. And a bit odd.

Pooka Thu 27-Sep-12 13:27:08

Why would you do that?

cairnterrier Thu 27-Sep-12 13:27:58

Tea towels I could just about understand but why not towels with other clothes?

Mintyy Thu 27-Sep-12 13:28:07

I would wink. I am very fussy about laundry.

Nevercan Thu 27-Sep-12 13:28:12

Why? It's clean. We always have random things mixed together in our washing grin

SilverBellsandCockleShells Thu 27-Sep-12 13:28:21

Why on earth would it matter? [puzzled]

TheGoldenKnid Thu 27-Sep-12 13:28:45

Waste of time, waste of electricity, waste of water, waste of detergent etc.

Greavesey Thu 27-Sep-12 13:29:41

I do this all the time.

Apparently its to do with colours and different materials....

BoomerGold Thu 27-Sep-12 13:29:50

I'd leave it this time but educate your OH. I never wash towels or sheets with clothes as they go on a 95 rather than a 40.

Caerlaverock Thu 27-Sep-12 13:30:08

I wash towels separately at 60 but I would probably let this go

squeakytoy Thu 27-Sep-12 13:31:12

YABU and mad... why on earth would it matter if things were mixed together. I woud not waste detergent and electricity on washing things separately. It all gets bunged in together here.. underwear, socks, tshirts, towels and tea towels.

FredFredGeorge Thu 27-Sep-12 13:32:33

YA completely bonkers. The towels absorbancy unlikely to be impacted much by a single wash with fabric softener so washing it out won't make a jot of difference. If you have any other reason than that YA even more completely bonkers.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere Thu 27-Sep-12 13:33:49

YABU, though I like to wash towels together... not with any other items other than perhaps linen.

sambageeni Thu 27-Sep-12 13:37:53

It's like ironing socks and pants......why would you! smile

Anotherusefulname Thu 27-Sep-12 13:38:37

YABU but I am one of these people who washes everything together, mixed colours, mixed fabrics and never have any problems.

TroublesomeEx Thu 27-Sep-12 14:07:03

Oh God, I would rewash them and now I've just read all the YABUs! shock

TroublesomeEx Thu 27-Sep-12 14:08:24

silverbells it matters because unless the temperature was high enough the bum germs wouldn't be killed and would also be transferred onto the towels.

<faints at the thought of it>

FunnysInLaJardin Thu 27-Sep-12 14:10:48

YABU, how on earth do you normally do your washing?

LegArmpits Thu 27-Sep-12 14:12:12

Stark raving bonkers.
