To be irritated with tonic water

because it contains so many flippin' carbs! I might as well have drunk liquid sugar when I had those ten two vodkas and tonics at the weekend.

Just had a peruse of the nutritional info on the bottle and my eyebrows did that comedy jump off my head thing that happens in cartoons.

It will have to be vodka and soda water from now on with fresh lime juice 'barperson can you make sure you use freshly squeezed lime juice, cordial is stuffed with carbs.' Said bar peoples will spit in my drinks for being such a particular pain in the bum.

Slimline, or soda with lime.

carbs are not hemlock you know - you can have them and they are kind of needed in a human diet grin

Slimline it is. Relief.

At the moment carbs are hemlock, arsenic and a bit of cyanide combined to me! I'm planning to eat a carb, just the one, on Christmas Day! grin

YABU, what did you think was in it? It tastes incredibly sweet.

Try drinking good quality neat single malt whisky or golden rum. You have to sip it slowly and no mixers involved.

I'm not really a neat whiskey drinker. I'm worried I'd ruin my sophisticated effort with doing a comedy scrunched up 'this is so sour' face after every sip.

True, but it does mean your drinks last AGES as you can only take a teeny tiny sip at a time (followed by a glass of water).
