AIBU?

To want a SHIT HOT luxury car that looks like a Lexus 4WD, has 7 seats, and cost less than a 5 Year old Peugeot?

Seriosly, I need a nice car that occasionally can have 7 seats. Otherwise a big boot.

The BMW X5 is a cliche. The Volvo XC90 way to big. and expensive

I dont like the look of Ford (sorry) neither the Grand Scenic, as we dont like Renault (sorry).

We drive a Peugeot 307 SW, and love it, but it is a 2007 model and develop new eletrical faults on a monthly basis.

What can we get that looks nice and has 7 seats when we need it?

Any experience of the Nissan Quashqai (sp) ?

Any other car we have not thought about?

we need a bigger car as soon to need 3 car seats! we were looking at the Kia sportage, that's just got 5 seats though

Yabu. Who cares as long as it's big enough for your family and gets you from A to B reliably.

Can't understand this obsession with "shit hot" cars at all.

The Touran isn't pretty but you can get a ton of stuff in it and our dds fit nicely still in the three main seats - dd1 is 14.5. The Quashqai +2 is the one that has the extra seats and we haven't tried it yet but from looking at it we think the seat space isn't going to be as good for the dds. With one teenager, a coming up to 12 yr old and dd3 as well we need to think about growing room!

Yup. Agreed, I have had plenty of cars who dont. For example the Fiat Stilo.

But I am loving the look of the Kia Sportage! (but sadly no 7 seats)

("shit hot" looking like a lexus costing less than an old peugeot was a bit tongue in cheek, though)

I quite liked the look of the Quashquai but DH had it as a hire car and went off it. I think it might be bit of a squeeze as my boys get older and bigger so I've resigned myself to looking for a people carrier.
We're eyeing up a touran, sharan or the seat alhambra.
I'd love a Discovery but need better fuel economy.

Our boys are 10 and 7, so space is not so much an issue, but we often have visitors, and need to be able to seat a couple of extra people now and then. Otherwise we go away a lot, bringing bikes, for days out, and need space for bikes, gear, day packs, food, change of clothes, etc. So the combination of either big boot space, or room for more people is a must for us.

I test drove the Verso a few years ago, and me and the car did not get on. Sad

I could not manage to judge where to find the edge of the road.....

I'm looking for something similar
Test drove Kia Sorento... I liked it, & it's big.
Sportage has a small boot.
Jeep compass too small
Cherokee too big.
I like the Freelander
Am going to test the Hyundai Santa Fe next week.
Have a crv at the moment & it's Ok
But v old & mileage 115k

Santa Fe is another option, but are 7 seats possible?
