AIBU?

To be *laughing* that this person defriended me from FB?

Is it suppose to hurt my feelings? Because, you know what? It doesn't!

Apparently telling her, on my status, that I don't agree with her opinion, was too much for her poor little feelings.

If you didn't care, you wouldn't be starting as thread about it.

God, if that was true, no one would ever start any threads on MN!

I'm sharing my amusement. I thought others would be amused.

Sorry to bother to you. Feel free to hide the thread.

Depends on what the differing opinions were.

Erm, are you ok???

Its probably not supposed to hurt your feelings, maybe the issue you disagreed over (or the nature of the exchange) made this person realise actually you just dont have much in common?

facebook nonsense

Its difficult to judge without knowing what her post on facebook is about. I accept that you don't agree with her opinon but there are ways of expressing a disagreement.

Ie. if she had a post "God is great"
and you put " How can an imaginary friend be great"

then it would be understandable if you were defriended and not funny in the least.

Do you know the person in real life whose feelings you have hurt.

Is this person also on mumsnet and this is the only way you can make sure that she sees your big old "I Don't CARE" banner?

Am I okay? Why do people keep asking me that?!?!?!?!?!

Doesn't matter what it was about.

As usual, people aren't getting my humour. You'd think I'd know better by now than to try to share something that I find funny as no one else ever does.

But...we don't know why it's funny because you haven't explained the exchange. As it were

If we could defriend everyone I disagreed with on here I would be all alone Grin

It is quite funny when people huff if you disagree with them. My nephew defriended me when I kicked his arse for being racist. He told me he was going to defriend me because I needed 'to lighten up'
Arse Grin

Yeah, but you're not sharing are you. You're holding back the most relevant bit which makes me think you were a bit out of order and you know it. Therefore YABU to be laughing about it.

Thank you Flyover.

The exchange doesn't matter. What matters is we disagreed, about something minor, and rather than debating or ignore, she de-friended me.

That's why it's funny.

And if you have to explain the joke...

(She probably doesn't Blazer. Lot's of people don't.)

I'm asking because you sound a bit... Well odd really. And I know you're bit usually.

We can't share your humour because all you've told us is that you've defriended someone. Sorry if that's that what you expected.

Pagwatch · 19/09/2012 09:39

It's not 'are you ok' tee

It is 'are you ok

Tee2072 · 19/09/2012 09:39

I didn't defriend anyone. She defriended me.

And sorry, but do I know you GoldShip? Name change? I don't recognize you. Also "And I know you're bit usually."? Sorry?

Well it depends what you said. I defriended someone for using the word retard repeatedly. I have a disabled child. He could not see what my issue was Hmm.

If its something like "I like coffee cake" and you said "you're wrong carrot cake is better" and she defriended you then yes it's ok to laugh.

Can you tell I was just sitting here thinking about cake Grin?

It does matter if you want people to understand why it's funny to be defriended over it.

Thanks for the pat. Grin

"If its something like "I like coffee cake" and you said "you're wrong carrot cake is better" and she defriended you then yes it's ok to laugh."

Pretty much at that level, yes. Hence...funny.
