That will accept bad credit?

I've had to apply for income support since ex left me and my claim hasn't gone through yet, so i've been using my child tax credits to buy food and just leaving everything else for now - It will get paid, its just that food is more important right now - My stupid effing bank have taken 70 quid in charges. So i have zero money until next saturday.

They wont give me a crisis loan because exOH had 3 on a joint claim when he was unemployed and we were waiting for a joint claim to go through.

I wouldn't even consider a pay day loan if i weren't desperate, but i am and i was wondering if any one knew any that will accept basically anybody, I don't even care if theyre dodgy or charge shit loads, i just need to buy food for my child and i'm getting angry with my bank and these shit charges and everything just seems so unfair right now. Please dont lecture me on how shit payday loans are, i know they are, but atm needs must.

I thought they all accept bad credit, don't they?

Why would anyone pay their extortionate interest rates if they could go to a decent lender? Confused

Worra - I dont know, one site said some do? But then declined me.

Usual - He won't even come and see his child let alone give me money for him. He says he has none. Has money for fucking alcohol though.

Most towns these days have food banks, ask at your CAB or a local church will surely help.

You need to open a different account for your child tax credits asap. Maybe try a COOP one or a post office one......I don't know about payday loan companies but if you take on of those out, you know you will have to pay it back with loads on top right?

And if you can't then they roll it over with the interest accumulating? There has to be some charity who can help you out re food....there are lots with food banks...you could try the Salvation Army or Womens Aid for advice?

Can you get to school and things ok? Or does that require travel money? If you put what town you are in, I will look for charity near you.

They all do. They don't do credit checks.

Please don't though OP. it's a vicious circle. You'll get one, pay it off and then need more money to get through the month so you get another...

I'm currently paying off 1450 that my ex got in my name. Told me he'd paid it but hadn't.

have you tried greenwoods or provident and loans at home. the intrest rates are very high but not quite as bad as payday loans

Phone CAB and ask about a local credit union.

If there's no way around it get the minimum you need, and pay it off as fast as you can. It's very tempting to get more, or to top it up but it's so bad in the long run. X

Queen DON'T try for a loan...they'll give it to you an then if you take say 100 quid, they'll want 160 off you next week...how can you afford that? You'll be back in the same boat.

NC - I am going to ask about a post office account tomorrow.

Usual - I don't really want to tell my mum i have no money, I don't know if she has any money (Shes disabled and only on IB) And she will worry if i ask and she has to say no. My dad wont because 'its DWs money too' (His words).

Goldship - I was thinking of paying it back if IS backdate my money to when i actually applied to avoid falling into that (Two weeks ago). I only want to borrow about 50 quid just for some food shopping. I stocked up on nappies etc when ex left with the money i had then because i thought i might end up short.

Iv got awful credit and wonga will still offer to lend me £1,000 a month. It really is a horrible vicious cycle though. Hate it.

However, you need at least £1 in your bank account so they can 'verify' your bank details. If you don't even have £1 in your account, it will fail.

dont most credit unions still make you pay in for 13 weeks befor you can get a loan?

Do you have any gold jewellery?

Any broken earrings or anything at all you can pawn or sell?

The price of gold is high at the moment.

Someone might correct me here if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that Social Services have a budget to help families in this situation. Please don't do the loan if there's any way to avoid it. You'll never escape from it.

If you only need £50 and you know you DEFO won't get anymore then try money shop or wonga. Not cash store.

Surely given your change in circumstances and current benefit claim you could approach the crisis loan team? Does your DF realise you are beyond desperate, could they even help you out with food?

Report
Socknickingpixie · 16/09/2012 22:38

provident and greenwoods will do £100 and you pay it back weekly

queen is there nobody else at all? A friend? You can get a weeks worth of food for twenty quid if you're careful and eat basic stuff...less!

Pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes, apples, bananas, some cheapo biccies, bread....beans...

It would be better to lend twenty quid from a friend and suffer for a week rather than pay those loan companies a silly amount of cash.

Call your bank and explain, maybe they will reverse charges? Always worth a try.

I thought they couldn't take charges out from benefit money? Or is FTC not classed as a benefit?
