Had my DSs end of term play yesterday (reception) and it actually started with a little scene about how important it is to listen and sit nicely.
However throughout the entire 40 minute show there were at least three different sets of people holding long conversations.
I think it sets a really bad example and is simply rude. Really can't understand it - esp when they're then suprised that their DC doesnt sit still etc. There's a difference between a quick whisper of "how cute" and a long indepth (and dull) conversation about whether the washing machine they ordered will turn up tomorrow. I wish I had the guts to turn round and say something but alas I just got wound up instead.... argh!!
