Yes!

They haven't read the same books/talked to the same people! Why should they follow the same rules?

What kind of a stupid question is that? Your 11 month old is not able to reason and like every other baby in the world will sleep when she does.

Some do, some don't.

You are NBU to want that to happen, but that doesn't mean it will unfortunately!

My dd only started sleeping through at 10 months, but still woke up earlier than I would have liked/ in the night occasionally for a few months after that. They get there in the end, it's just hideous at the time.

My ds didn't sleep through the night until he was 3. Good luckWink!

My nearly 13mo DS sleeps 7.30pm to 6am ish. But all children are different! Plus early mornings seem to be par for the course.

Well given the amount of sleep you and your DH seem to need I can see why you would think your baby should be a good sleeper...YABU.

Is this a reverse AIBU?

Completely unreasonable. Babies are babies and wake up during the night, you are lucky if they sleep through.

What is her sleeping pattern like at the moment?

My 12 month DD sleeps from 10pm to 7am - briefly waking every 2 hours! Grin

I am reliably informed that for my family, this is in fact normal. Apparently neither me, nor my brother, nor my cousins, or indeed my second cousins on my mothers side, slept through until about age 5.....

Some do though

cheeky I am really worried about you. You don't sound well and your threads are quite worrying. I really think you should contact your support team or see your GP at the very least, I think you could do with some help and support. You sound very anxious and unsure of the most simple things, and I am sure talking it through somewhere other than MN would help. :)

DS2 is 2 and a half. He sleeps 7.30pm - 4.30am. Every night. For 2 years.

Ime you are very lucky if you get past 6am with babies and toddlers!

Ds1 woke this early, or earlier until he was about 8. I am not sure if there was something I could have done to change it. Wake -to-sleep maybe ? ( google it)

YABU as people have said every baby is different. My 13 month old wakes at least 5 times a night and starts the day at 04.45 at the moment.

My eldest is 5 and still sometimes wakes up at night.

Other babies sleep all night from 3 months with no input from parents.

Thank your lucky stars. 7.30-6.00 sounds perfect for an 11 month old. Ds was about the same at that age. They are still having a nap in the day, so will be getting enough sleep.

Hmmm....nbu.

Dd is 6.5mo. She goes to bed at 6.30, wakes at 7am for a feed and then goes back down til 8.30.

I only offer her water in the night now but the last few nights she hasnt even stirred.

I second what valiumredhead says. Is your DH aware of how anxious you are feeling? Are you receiving any medical support for your bi polar disorder?
