Was that par for the course during the seventies? Or unreasonable?

Could have been worse, it could have been dripping! (I hope my parents never did)

Hey we have resorted to that in this house if we have nothing else left in the fridge Blush I think it's pretty rank but DH doesn't see the problem?

Stork is vile

I threw a hissy in a cafe once and refused to eat or pay for the fry up I ordered, cos it was advertised with 'bread and butter' but they put Stork on it Grin

My nan did that Viva, she had it in a flask when she drove up to see us, she always offered us some. Sad

We had marg but it wasn't Stork. It was in a blue and yellow tub IIRC.

Nope - we never had this. Just as well really as my Mum had this weird idea that if we left food then she would just bring it back day after day until it got eaten. That didn't work either!

Lentilly - my mum still does that Hmm

My Mum always stored yesterday's dinner either in the oven or on the stove...to re-heat the next day.

Why the fuck we had a fridge was beyond me Hmm

my mum has just started putting stork on bread!!!

she used to have Flora but they have changed the taste and it's now horrible which it is so she thought Stork was a better option Hmm

We had someone that was in a round tub, maybe had sunflower seed oil in it. Whatever it was Mum thought it was posh.

I always coveted vitalite tubs!

In the 80's my mother who was forever on a diet of ryvita would use some godawful spread called outline. It was vile, and me and my dad would insist on having real butter.. something I insist on to this day. I hate spreads and the only thing other than butter that I dont mind is the spreadable butter that is softened with olive oil.

I got given a bit of cake at a kids party a few weeks ago. Chocolate "buttercream" icing made with stork. Vom vom.

That was vitalite I think. We had stork too, and when mum was on a diet something beginning with O, it was awful.
