TV hog - AIBU?

Ok - so DH is sitting in "his" chair wine at the ready and laptop poised and is working away - whilst watching bloody hate football I'm sitting in the same room on other chair mums netting reading - occasionally trying to strike up some sort of conversation with him - only to be told shh I'm working! If I mention could I at least watch something other than football he is working anyway should be in his office he strops.

AIBU to actually want to take over as couch commander and select something more interesting to watch in the telly?

My dh is also watching the football. I HATE it. But he is at least watching it and I am on the laptop. If he was doing something else AND watching, I would definitely turn over, no questions asked!!

I wonder if anyone manufactures remotes that can override any other remote in the room? Available only via MN? There's definitely a market for such a product!
