I'm sure everybody is familiar with the term 'divide and rule/conquer'. It seems to me that this is what our government are trying to do.

They have created a situation where normal people are turning on each other, arguing about who deserves which benefits the most. The truth is that diasabled people, pensioners, single parents etc ALL need and deserve help and financial assistance. We should be turning on the coalition and fighting against the destruction of our welfare state. Instead we are fighting amongst ourselves whist the ConDem bastards are tearing our country apart before our eyes.

Even if we bond and storm the streets with protest banners they will still tear our country apart.

We are doomed

I have a placard and a copy of 'non violent struggle'. Lets be off

Well I certainly don't take my frustration out on other people who are struggling. I'll carry on doing what I'm doing. Bombard my MP, sign petitions, strike etc.

I know these things seem ineffective but that's because so many people don't do anything other than sit on their backsides and moan at each other. imagine if we all went on strike or protested.

I agree. Everyone who is affected by the cuts deserves understanding if they want to moan about it on here. It's very unfair that people complaining about cuts get sympathy while another group of people complaining about cuts get abuse.

The whole point of a site like this is that there will be a variety of people with a variety of backgrounds and a variety of incomes. Everyone shudo try and be understanding about everyone elses situation if they want to participate in a particular thread by someone whose income is very different from their own, and it needs to work both ways.

No all pensioners, single parents etc don't need help. Some do and some don't.
