AIBU?

To get horribly drunk just because my DH ordered me the wrong meal at the chinese takeaway?

in my defense he ....
A) asked me what I wanted
B) asked me to mark it on the menu
C) called me from takeaway to tell me he'd left menu in kitchen and forgotten to take it with him,
D) asked me to tell him again what I wanted
E) returned home without my dish
F) phoned takeWay only to be told, he didn't order the dish i wanted, but ordered some lamb dish that easn't remotely close to what i wanted

In my anger/disapponitment at his incompetence/inability to order number 190, I decided to drink two glasses of wine (i rarely drink!) and am now not exactly compis mentis altohufh I think my spelling and grammar is quite good in his.

He's a bit annoyed at my overe reaction and the fact that I drank tather than ate, but I was really looking forawrd to crispy duck pancakes!

Yanbu. It a huge disappointment

No matter where I order they always forget my curry sauce, so have given up on takeaways :(

I know it is a bit late, but next time why don't you ring the takeaway to place your order, get your OH to collect it and enjoy a glass of wine while you are waiting for your dinner.

YANBU, ordering takeaway is a serious business.

If your DH was not up to the job he should have said.

I would say leave him, but you should have known he would balls it up and done it yourself Smile

Um, leave the bastard?

I never trust DH to take the order correctly, I do what bunbaker says and call the order through for him to go collect.

It is such a let down if they get it wrong.

We had satay prawns delivered instead of beef yesterday. Fortunately the error was in my favour, as husband can't stand them but seemed happy enough with sharing the remaining dishes. So I nommed them all. If it had been me, I'd have been in a huff!

If you ring them first then the food will be ready when you go to pick it up - what kind of weirdo goes to the takeaway and waits about while they cook it?

It is time for you to teach him what anal sex is all about.

Ah funny posts!
Wow I thought I was a light weight!:o No, not unreasonable. And lets face it many would agree. We lost the menu for a GREAT chinese take away and DH now refuses to get chinese until we find it. No other chinese will do. And I think he's right! Honestly, you go to all that effort and it still goes wrong?

I had a similar thing a few weeks ago. I've been dieting and denying myself pretty much everything but one night we decided to blow it and have a KFC.

DH came back with a Zinger burger and not my Fillet burger! Sad

I can't eat chilli as it makes my face swell up so I ended up with nothing but fries.

He could not understand why I was so pissed off either!!

Least you got something, I am 9 months pg (more precious princess & hungrier than usual) and 'D'P arrived home earlier with a bumper thai all for himself - 'I didn't think you'd want any'.

Sometime in the next couple of weeks you have to tell him that you're having his favourite meal, say shepherd's pie, for tea. Mention it a few times 'we're having your favourite tomorrow', 'ooo, really looking forward to sheperd's pie tonight'. Then serve up lentil soup.

Noooooo! UADNBU.

Take Away is a meal I have not cooked
It is a meal where I don't have to compromise every bugger else's preferences.
If it is wrong than why fucking bother in the first place. Meh.

Wow if 'horribly drunk' is necking two glasses of wine, then I'm horribly drunk most nights of my life!

That aside...you are NOT being unreasonable. You must make him go out and get some duck pancakes or your relationship will never truly get over this.
