AIBU?

To ask for some of your leftovers!

So I dropped the fecking turkey on the floor! I had dished up and was putting the leftovers in the fridge. Somehow the bloody plate slipped and the whole lot landed on the floor. Bits of lovely ex plate, turkey and pigs in blankets all over the sodding floor.

Any other time of the year and I wouldn't mind but I love a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sarnie on Boxing Day! SOB!
Come on then what can you offer me?!

I'd have picked it up and put it in fridge!

I love that you've been framed clip of the woman in gold stilettos who tips her turkey onto the floor as she's putting it in the oven, clearly tipsy, and she just picks it up and rams it into oven
Pure class Xmas Grin

I would have whipped it up off the floor and put it on a clean plate.

I have total sympathy, my favourite bit of the Xmas meal is The Boxing Day Sandwich, with Everything on soft white bread. I almost sobbed the year I left the menfolk in charge of clearing up, and they left the turkey out of the fridge overnight.

Where are you OP? Close enough and I'll deliver yer sarny! Grin

Bless you all! Couldn't pretend I hadn't dropped it as made rather a loud crashing noise. (Don't think I swore!)
Must get myself to my mum's place tomorrow and hope she's saved me some! Meanwhile who is joining me on the chocolate and wine?

I've got two tuperware containers full of turkey. Would you like one? Small amount of stuffing and some pigs in blankets. Come on over.

We had beef, you could have some of that if you like? It wasn't even tough this year.

Send DH out for a new turkey toorrow, they'll be cheaper and you can have your sarnie. Xmas Grin

Honestly, we have three quarters of a fucking turkey left over... Four adults and two children made barely a dent in it. Bastard thing.

Just pick it up, surely?

Fecking dog stole the turkey off the side so we are also sans leftovers. At the inlaws house, our dog. MIL is being very nice about it but I sense resentment.

Ali. Could pick it up but risk ruptured gullet from teeny tiny bits of ruddy china. Plus fridge bit close to cat food bowls etc. Yuk!

Haha lady! Doesn't she know the universal law of animals and work surfaces?!
