Everytime the M&S Christmas as comes on?

How many times must this be endured in the run up to The Day?

(The John Lewis ad, on the other hand...)

My DCs like the M&S advert just so they can call out, 'The Bully!' 'The Druggie,' 'In her pants!' etc.

I'm not sure this was what M&S had in mind when they signed up for the deal.

Keep hearing about the JL ad, not seen it and feel very much left out.

LineRunner, that's what my DD said too (when I was asking who the hell those people were).
What I don't get is, if they're dropping each one as they get eliminated, what are they going to do if the girl who is singing the last line gets chucked off this week?

I've not seen the JL or the M and S ads, I must leave it on the DCs telly too often because I'm sick to the back teeth of coming over all judgey when I see the Doggie-Doo fucking advert Hmm

£17.86 for pretending to teach your children that animals poo??

I wonder if they have a smell to them...

I take these adverts too much to heart Grin

But Pumpaloons??

First to pump up the inflatable 'character' with a foot pump, wins.

What fun to have on Christmas day morn Hmm

Nanny, we can only surmise that the end-stage of the M&S advert involves voice-over group singing, miming and CGI.

I think the shareholders should be told.

Okay, been and had a look at the JL ad, either I'm a cold hearted bitch or I'm watching the wrong one. Small chap huffs a lot, pulls several stroppy faces then presents ma and pa with a badly wrapped gift? Yeah? It's shit.

Raffle, you have no heart! The rest of Mumsnet has been sobbing into their cocoa over that advert!

Linerunner, I have to confess, I am a shareholder. What should I do?

Nanny, you know the pack drill by now. Get a grippette. You need to write a Strongly Worded Letter to the Chief Executive about Bad Role Models (and that's just Louis Walsh for starters) and the waste of shareholders' money on such a badly planned PR catastrophe - and furthermore pointedly state that any company that purports to support the manipulation, exploitation and adulation of the dysfunctional lifetsyles of commercialised young poplets will certainly not be supplying the NannyOgg household with Christmas turkey, trimmings and treats this year. Hedgehop, have you not had the telly on a commercial channel? I swear it's on every 5 minutes!

I just watched the JL ad on YouTube (in Australia all our Xmas ads are crap) and am in TEARS! Very feeble of me...

YANBU. I have to mute the TV every time that bastard Littlewoods ad comes along.

Damnit. It's back in my head!
Sad

I haven't seen either of them - but I blame MN for that!! The TV is on MN is so distracting that I miss entire programmes let alone single adverts!! I shall watch out for them, just to share your frustration - a frustration shared is a frustration halved and all that :)

Nanny0gg Only if you have one of those new TVs without an off switch.

You've never seen one? Neither have I.

I am still waiting for the Stacey Solomon Iceland 'Porn Ring' advert to come on. Then it really is Christmas!

SuePurblybiltbyElves · 13/11/2011 09:01

Ah Tee, you big old meanie pants.

I think they're fairly sure that the main XF singers on the ad will be in it for a bit. But it's not a fix or a foregone conclusion and the advert in no way indicates that Hmm Grin.

AgentZ - I agree about the Pumpaloons but I am tempted to buy them. Partly for the excellent name and partly because I think they would be the best drunken fun ever Grin. Just maybe not for children.

Batman - I am a crier but I don't like the JL advert. Can see what they're trying to do but still has me thinking:

Who gave you the money for that present?
If you saved, who helped you buy it?
Who helped you wrap it?
And FFS put your bloody face straight.

It doesn't touch my fuzzy button.
