AIBU?

To wish that teachers would ask for homework back

Please note in the heading that is said "wish" not "want"

DS is in year 9 at secondary.

Whilst it probably is my sons responsibility to hand his homework in without being asked for it at the end of lessons. I'd love it if the teachers asked for it.

DS --has a head like a sieve- totally forgets and is still carrying stacks of it around in his bag.

Comments from any teachers out there would be great.

Well, (teacher here), if they set it, they should mark it and should therefore ask for it to be handed in during the following lesson.
YANBU.

Don't get me wrong, that's fine. It's just I'm forever nagging telling him to do it and thought he may get into trouble for not handing it in.

All's well and you're forgiven.

I know, I always feel terrible if I forget as I know how long my DD spends on some of her HW.
I do think that the teacher should ask for it, and mark it, absolutely.
