AIBU?

...to ask for a removed thread to be returned just so we can take the piss?

Somebody placed an obvious advert for a new music prep school and nursery in the nursery forum. I pointed out it was a blatant advert to Mrs Mumsnet and it removed. In the email Mumsnet sent me I realised that the name of the school was a bit...unfortunate: RIMU.

Policeman - "Where are you going to Miss?"
Lady - "I'm going to RIMU!"

RIMU Home

Any old rim you girls in? SORRY! RIMU!

Nothing like a bit of free advertising even if it is for the wrong reasons!

Thankfully. I so do not want to see what a [wank] emoticon would look like.

AnyPhantomFucker · 23/10/2011 15:32

do we have a [wank] emoticon ?

if not, we should campaign for one

MrsDalliard · 23/10/2011 16:05

And they've misspelled "focussed" on the website too.

Report
AnyPhantomFucker · 23/10/2011 16:06

that mis-spelling of "focused" irritates me beyond belief

Report
Bohica · 23/10/2011 16:12

Yes, we need a [wank] emotion and the we can add er to the end of it.

I keep reading the thread title as "...to ask for a removed head to be returned just so we can take the piss?" I know it's coming up to Halloween, but I didn't know Mumsnetter were that bloodthirsty.

Gosh, just checked the fees.

I thought I could get my child to RIMU for less than that.

Fecking hell do real people honestly pay that much for nursery?!

Report
NessaRose · 23/10/2011 18:18

Why are the fees for the afternoon less than the morning? Confused

Report
vincentvangogh · 23/10/2011 18:23

actually, that's an accepted spelling of focussed. Just the less common one. But I suppose they probably want only the "less common" types there. I was looking to see what RIMU stood for but it's not just an unfortunate acronym, it's actually some tree. Confused
I won't be sending my child to RIMU

Hahahaha RIMU Grin

I used to teach in a school whose motto was "More is in me". We all sniggered through assembly. Every day. For two years.

sniggering here too Grin And it's only just down the road from me.

I do know someone local who could afford to send her DC there, and may well do so. However she is so straitlaced humourless I doubt she would get the joke...

sorry. still Grin a bit. corners of my mouth keep twitching.
