I am disgusted at the vile behaiviour of some human folk at the bus stop/bus station

Was waiting at the bus station today, and a man in very close proximity to me started to hoik and spit near me , I was almost sick in my mouth. A few mins later a man who was eating some food, let out a mahoosive belch, as did somebody else . Why do some people display such appealing manners at bus stops . This is not a wind up, I am a regular poster who witnessed some horrible manners today.

some people are just vile. sounds like you were particlularly unlucky today. i hope tomorrow is better for you.

If you had been waiting at the Savoy for your limo to arrive you wouldn't have witnessed this.

The dregs of society tend to take buses. (Along with a lot of very nice people like myself when I have managed to figure out the timetable)

A yoof hoiked in my, yes my road yesterday. Annoyingly I couldn't catch his eye to show my disgust.

Ugh! Hoiking and spitting is truly disgusting- makes me feel physically sick too. There really is no need.

ahhhhhh I know lynette there are some lovely people who use the buses like you and me , but some really bad ones with bad manners to boot. Gah I will have to start saving again for driving lessons, failed 4 times and pg with dc2 so can't afford them at the moment.

Don't go to china! Hoiking loudly and spitting is perfectly acceptable there. But laughing or yawning with your mouth open is unspeakably rude in China.

Yes really. Lots and lots of people hoiking loudly and spitting all over the place - and not just men or scruffy people. During an internal flight in China a friend was seated next to a smart elderly lady who did this practically all during the flight.

Not in Shanghai and not as common in more western cities. But anywhere else including large Chinese cities it was common. Apparently before the olympics Government ran a big campaign to try and educate people not to do this.

I know lesley I saw Karl Pilkington abroad and he was in China and this was happening on the bus he was sitting on. at appealing manners, those today certainly were not

I don't catch buses often, but the last time I was forced to was a really busy bus on a very hot day. I spent the whole journey squashed up next to a man who farted repeatedly for the duration of the journey. Before anyone says he couldn't help it - I can manage to hold in a fart for fifteen minutes when I have to, so I don't believe he couldn't. If he really couldn't help it then he could have at least done it discreetly, rather than announcing each one with a lift of a buttock to aim it in my direction.

I had morning sickness at the time too. I was lucky with my morning sickness, although I felt nauseous every day, I never actually threw up, but I tell you - that day I came very very close.

I saw a bloke doing that hideous nostril holding on one side whilst expelling snot out of the other side thing the other day. Grim.

I was kind of hoping I would Maisie. I did amuse myself with the thought that if I felt it coming I wouldn't do anything to prevent it and would have made sure my aim was good

Then I just felt guilty at the idea I would have inflicted it on the rest of the people already suffering on the bus

piglet, apart from your name (ALL pigs needlessly killed during Swine Flu panic), this aversion to honking up of lungs, belching, and general stench will mean that Egypt also needs to be on your Places to Avoid list.

The hacking up of greenies from all quarters, spitting everywhere, and general revolting behaviour was a constant source of near melt-down for me during my three years there.

Oh that and the never picking up the feet while walking.... shiiip, shipppp, shippp, shuffle shuffle shuffle Arghhhh! Pick those feet up and GET A FECKING MOVE ON FGS!

Oh, forgot one.

Flight back to London from Sao Paulo. 9hrs.

Chap next to me in 2 jumpers and an anorak, clearly for about a WEEK. [stench]

Starts picking nose and WIPES SNOT ON THE SEAT BACK IN FRONT OF HIM.

Bogeys there until landing.

I swear I was half way out the door as that ffing plane's wheels hit the tarmac!

I would be the same though with the spitting and also twitch at people shouting unnecessarily.

Oh really scary I really wanted to visit there. Funnily enough my mum is Armenian from Cyprus and is the worse offender, but good thing she confines it to the toilet and not the street, if she did she would have me to reckon with

However you can hear it from our loo as the walls are really thin, and its not a pleasant noise in the morning, but thats another thread, one to go with the poo one running at the moment

Tell me about it, the apartment that backed on to ours had the bathroom AND the kitchen on the back wall. constant throat and nose clearance... [vom]

I was in Alexandria, there are a lot of Armenians there and there are a lot of similarities in customs too. Like the throwing of broken glasses, crockery, furniture etc on the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve. I hear they do that too somewhere in Cyprus. It's INSANE!

Oh Alexandria in the US, yes my Auntie lives there, and i was forced to go to a boring Armenian festival there in Alexandria when I was a teenager, instead of being allowed to go bowling with my cousin. I had a catsbum face throughout the festival and Auntie even took a photo of it for prosperity . Yuck HerScaryness that is disgusting, really some people are vile.
