to be disgusted at my shitting husband

Shit appears to be a theme today.

My DH is normally quite well mannered and comes equipped with all the required social skills. However he has recently started coming into the bathroom to have a shit while I am in the bath or shower. He says he can't wait until I'm done. I think what's the point in having £15 lavender scented bubbles from L'Occitane when he's firing out a smelly dump a metre from my head. I shout at him, but he says I'm being precious and it's what all married people do. Now, I don't want to ask my friends if this sort of thing is normal, so I'm throwing it out here.

And it fucking stinks.

Yesterday I was on the loo when he came in and pissed in the sink.
I'm not sure what the hell has happened to him.

AIBU to think this is vile?

squeakytoy Mon 17-Oct-11 16:35:01

Just take him to the vets and have him put to sleep.

He pissed in the sink? Dirty fucker!

I'd suggest you invest in a lock for the bathroom, sharpish.

ZombiesAteYourCervix Mon 17-Oct-11 16:36:02

I'd have to leave tha bastard. Not asseptable.

Gloribe Mon 17-Oct-11 16:36:15

We don't have a lock on the door because of our DD's habit of locking herself in. Better suggestions?

Grumpla Mon 17-Oct-11 16:36:22

Lock the door.

That, or leave the bastard.

It's not normal! My DH wouldn't dream of using the loo if I was in the bath!
Lock the door.

SecretNutellaFix Mon 17-Oct-11 16:37:42

Put a lock high up on the door? Where your DD can't reach?

loveglove Mon 17-Oct-11 16:37:53

Ask him if he needs the toilet before going in the bath.

You can get locks for internal doors that open with keys from the outside (DD) - just remember to take the keys in with you when you go in.

slightlymad72 Mon 17-Oct-11 16:37:57

you can buy locks that you can open from the outside.

Rudawakening Mon 17-Oct-11 16:38:08

Put a lock at the top of the door where DD can not reach but you can.

GooseyLoosey Mon 17-Oct-11 16:38:16

Lock at the top of the door where dd can't reach.

SickleBOO Mon 17-Oct-11 16:38:18

Hook & eye type lock at adult height. The sort you can get on gates.
Fill a beaker with water when you're in the shower & tip it over his head.

discobeaver Mon 17-Oct-11 16:39:00

Put a lock really high up where your dd can't reach?
That's utterly disgusting behaviour, wtf? Shit on his dinner plate.

usualsuspect Mon 17-Oct-11 16:39:50

you only have one bathroom?shock

discobeaver Mon 17-Oct-11 16:40:05

Ha, x posted with everyone, except the dinner plate part . . .

Poodleplops Mon 17-Oct-11 16:40:06

Make him take a dump outside.

Gloribe Mon 17-Oct-11 16:41:38

Thanks MNetters. I didn't think it was normal. The lock from the outside sounds like a good idea but I suspect he gets some weird sick thrill out of my disgust.

loveglove Mon 17-Oct-11 16:42:40

poop on his chest while he's asleep.

nickelbabe Mon 17-Oct-11 16:43:01

I can see his POV, from the fact when you need to go, you need to go, but if he's doing it every time, then he's being a twat.

You're not being precious - if it stinks then he's ruining your wash time.

If you can't lock the door, then shove a chair against it, or a big box.
