Well am I?

Surely there cannot be a MNer (not even lurkers) who don't say 'Yanbu' as 'Yanboo'? confused

CumpyGrunt Fri 14-Oct-11 23:04:33

Totally correct on both counts in my opinion, Yan-bu

Harecare Fri 14-Oct-11 23:07:04

In my head I actually say it in full even when I write YANBU/YABU. I have never considered saying yanboo or yaboo until now.

Andrewofgg Fri 14-Oct-11 23:07:14

Eye-byew but hoo cairz?

RedBlanket Fri 14-Oct-11 23:07:15

I say ay, eye, boo and yan-boo

Mardymwahhaha Fri 14-Oct-11 23:08:13

Shouldn't this be in Chat? wink

Trills Fri 14-Oct-11 23:08:42

Yan-boo, of course it's Aye-boo.

Yanboo. It's obviously Yaboo, and Yanboo!

lubeybooby Fri 14-Oct-11 23:11:37

I say Aye like Eye. Surely it's not Eyeboo but Ayboo

Yanboo and yaboo is correct though (in my head at least)

CaptainNancy Fri 14-Oct-11 23:11:55

Ah redblanket- but how do you have time in life to say that (even in your head wink)?

Tigerbomb Fri 14-Oct-11 23:11:57

Another one who always says it in full when reading it in my mind or out loud for that matter.

So you are being unreasonable

abitlikemollflanders Fri 14-Oct-11 23:13:02

I'm with harecare - I say it in full in my head when reading it.

OvOntToSuckYourBlood Fri 14-Oct-11 23:13:16

I say it in full too.

Fo0ffyShmooffer Fri 14-Oct-11 23:14:41

I see Yarboo, Yanboo and Ayeboo.

I also see Eyeswim (IYSWIM)

lubeybooby Fri 14-Oct-11 23:16:07

Nooooo it's ayboo

Like aych (H)

RedBlanket Fri 14-Oct-11 23:16:23

Nancy - too much time on my hands obviously smile

Obviously I don't actually say it out loud though.

cantpooinpeace Fri 14-Oct-11 23:18:58

Another one here who says it in full smile

aldiwhore Fri 14-Oct-11 23:18:59

I'm with harecare etc., but I've haven't been here long so mebbe, IABU.... but yeh thanks, now in my sleep instead of mumbling 'I'm being unreasonable' I shall be sounding like some bloody ewok.

(I sleep talk a lot, hence every boyfriend I have every had is called darling)

Shakey1500 Fri 14-Oct-11 23:19:01

I say the full length version as well with the emphasis on reasonable/unreasonable grin

Trills Fri 14-Oct-11 23:20:49

PureBloodMuggle Fri 14-Oct-11 23:21:55
