A freind once watched and waited, collected the offending poo, and followed dog owner home to place it outside their front door- with a polite note of course.

Try having the phantom crapper going on your lawn each night - I hope it's a dog, but by the size of it I'm not 100% sure!Shock

You could already see where some of the school kids walking past had not missed it like me and walked in it! Its the sort of thing my dog used to do hence I learnt my lesson and always went out armed my my plastic bags! Grrr

Yesterday a lady was parked up outside my house picking the kids up from school, and when her daughter got in the car, the daughter threw some rubbish onto the pavement outside my house from teh car. I went out and politely said something to the mum, and credit where it's due she was brilliant and told the daughter off and was very polite to me (I was a bit frightened of being shouted at myself!).

Don't be afraid to have a word if you see it!

You can get the council to pursue it on your behalf if regular.

I think taking it back sounds more fun though, in a funny sort of way.

A dog once pooped outside my FIL's house in his driveway. FIL was in his garden at the time. He can be very fierce ( is a total sweetie really) and made the dog owner pick it up in their hands and take it away.

I love dogs and cannot wait to have another. But I do not get the mentality of dog owners who let their dogs poo and don't clear it up. I have yet to hear a good reason why this happens.

This happens quite a lot outside my house. Annoys me intensely as I'm a dog owner too and it's people like that who are giving dog owners like me a bad name and resulting in bans of dogs from lots of places (since lets face it, the people who leave their dog's faeces lying around are probably the same ones who don't bother to worm their dogs and can so spread toxocara etc).

I once walked my dog and forgot poo bags. I knocked on the door of the nearest house and asked if they could give me a carrier bag instead, which they did, and problem solved. There's rarely an adequate excuse.
