To keep an eye on their teenagers incase they are being bullied.

Please if anybody ever listens to me for any reason let this be the one.

A 14yr old boy I have watched grow up killed himself yesterday because he was so badly bullied at school.

His family are devastated as are all who knew him he was a gorgeous and lovely boy.

I am not looking for arguments or silly comments but it just brought home to me how serious bullying can be.

That is so sad. God knows how much the poor boy must have been suffering and hurting for him to do that.

What a waste of a life. How can bullies live with themselves. Sad

That is so sad.

I was badly bullied at school myself and at times considered the same thing.

Don't let your children be bullied or be bullies.

Well I hope they do know/find out and can punish them appropriately. This is appalling behaviour. They must have been so cruel to push him to this.

Such a waste of a young life.

Sad Poor boy and his poor family. How utterly devastating.

I worry so much about my own DS when he goes to secondary school.

Bullying is absolutely rife and there are so many ways to get to their victims now.

So sad.

This has happened twice where we are in the last few months. One 13yo, one 15yo, neither could face returning to school for another year of bullying after the holidays.

I'm sorry tles. It's horrific.

Lady swear as much as you want. Is anything been done about the bullies or are they going to get away with making a young boy kill himself.

Report
TheLadyEvenstar · 07/10/2011 09:20

I really don't know what is being done about them tbh. I know he was such a beautiful boy inside and out, so sweet and cring and this has devastated me and all who knew and watched hi grow up.

GOD only knows how his family feel.

That's just awful. The poor lad and his family. My condolences to you all for this senseless waste of a lovely young man.

Perhaps, Lady, you need to add to your OP, that people also need to keep an eye on their teenagers in case they are the ones doing the bullying. With so many of these accounts, it is always the bullied child and their family who are left with finding a solution (moving schools etc) and seem to be deemed to be the troublemakers for making a fuss. The parents of the bullies need to take responsibility for the way their children behave.

What signs would you have to look for to see if your child is a bully?
This really is heartbreaking, i feel sick to the stomach. My boys are only 2 and 3 and im already dreading them starting school.

oh TLES how very sad for all of you. Bullying is a terrible thing and that poor boy must have felt dreadful to consider suicide.

Was there anything leading up to this? Did his parents/school know he was being bullied?

What an awful shock for everyone involved. Sad
