That's the sort of thought you really need to keep inside your own head.

I offered to swap a hairy, smelly teen for BF's new granson.

She wasn't having it, even when I promised he would sleep through the night. Sad

Congratulations for your friend.

My best mate had a tiny little brown-eyed brown-haired baby. Mine are all blonde. I WANT A BROWN ONE! The genetics IS there and if I keep going then I guess it'll eventually happen. But it would be a LOT easier to have hers.

Just offer to pop round and "give her a hand" when she comes home, then take baby, park backside on her sofa, accept a cup of tea and tell her you'll look after the baby while she gets on with a few jobs.

Ha! I was just thinking I will go over when she is ready for visitors and just let her weight on me while I have cuddles..

Not really!

I have a huge basket of goodies for mum and baby, have also popped a ticket in there for 3 hours free childminding for her eldest so she can have time with the new addition to the family.

Its so exciting when a new baby comes along it is a sense of what life is all about.

When DS was small and we had other children round we told parents that they must take away as many as they brought in but they could take their pick and somehow we always got left with the same one. :(

Picture messages can't keep you awake and gum your nipples raw.
Naybe the new iphone will develop an app for that though.

Totally with you OP and Flubba. I saw a pic of my mate's newborn, so scrummy! Then I remembered I'd got one myself, only eight months on. He's still lovely, and much less aggro, but there's something about that fresh-from-the-ovenness that just demands cuddles.

Arf @ fresh from the oven-ness.. Just like a fresh home made loaf of bread.

I wonder if babies taste scrummy with melted butter?

No, roast potatoes and peas are better. Well, DW and I had had enough of the neighbour's little squealer . . . :o

My DD is still squidgy! Although not the new, fresh squidginess. She's 15 weeks old today Shock

this reminds me of when my friend came to see ds, she really wanted to steal him (he was only 2 months old at the time.) she came over and waggled the BIGGEST handbag ive ever seen at me saying "ive come prepared!" if i didnt know her sense of humour i would've hidden the baby
