You know, one of those really funny ones?
About spilt coffee and bikers/dead wasps and wine stains/lost marbles?

..... <sighs and yearns>

Andrewofgg Thu 29-Sep-11 22:30:11

. . . marbled my losses and the dead was wasp and the coffee was spilt and yes I said yes yes yes.

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:31:39

Oh - and I'd be glad if someone PM'd me should such a thread start to kick off after a not-very-promising start!

.... <wonders if this is "bad form">

AgentZigzag Thu 29-Sep-11 22:32:18

That's a very accurate prediction Sal, have you got you need to get off your chest?

Got a friend called Sharon?

wink

grin

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:33:05

Precisely Andrew - you get it.

AgentZigzag Thu 29-Sep-11 22:33:31

I don't think it's bad form, people are always railing against/missing like mad Gabbylogon.

Some posters just stand out.

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:35:44

It's a visceral wish Agent ZigZag - I covet the idea of a friend called Sharon.
But sadly I'm not from Essex ....... <runs away>

....... joking!!!

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:37:22

See, I always miss the threads that get hilarious, then only find them when they are 100 pages long <grr>

AgentZigzag Thu 29-Sep-11 22:46:32

Of course you're joking my arse nobody could ever think you'd say such a thing Sal especially as you keep wearing your white belt and stilletos so private smile

You need to put the MN hours in to catch the decent threads.

I don't, and it t'ain't right.

If there's one Salmo I shall PM you.

<way too much time on my hands>

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:50:33

<hides white stilletos and black tights from AgentZigZag>
<dances round handbag>

Honeydragon Thu 29-Sep-11 22:50:45

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:53:02

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead Thu 29-Sep-11 22:54:37

I put in the MN hours and I always miss some of them sad

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead Thu 29-Sep-11 22:55:18

Or <shock horror> I read the beginning, but it gets deleted when I'm not looking!!

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:56:31

Never mind ducks:
.... apparently there is a spider the size of my hand living in DS's bedroom shock

.... he told me spotted it whilst on the phone, blah, blah, blah ... BUT the story did not end with "Then I beat it to death with a shoe" shock

.... it ended with "It ran behind something" shock

ThatStupidCat Thu 29-Sep-11 22:56:48

Dont forget to clean the wine from the carpet!

ThatStupidCat Thu 29-Sep-11 22:57:08

And up the freshly painted wall

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 22:59:44

Actually - I have splattered many a spider up a wall.

Salmotrutta Thu 29-Sep-11 23:01:09

But, see, I have to go to bed now angry sad

Work tomorrow - but then hols for a bit (Scottish Tattie Holidays) grin

AgentZigzag Thu 29-Sep-11 23:12:42

WTF is a Scottish Tattie Holiday?

Some kind of tatie picking sport they've devised to get people to pay for the privilege of digging up their spuds?

All credit to them if it is grin

PomBearAtTheGatesOfDawn Fri 30-Sep-11 09:27:19

OO How come Scots tatties are ready before northern english taties? We're not off until the 20th for tatie picking week sad pouts peeved

Salmotrutta Fri 30-Sep-11 16:52:14

<dons schoolteacher's mortar board and gown.

Well, Agent, Tattie Holidays in October were traditionally the time that school kids went Tattie Picking to earn some dosh for themselves/the family. I used to do it in days of yore but it doesn't happen now so much.
It was great earning a bit of money by the sweat of your brow! grin

AgentZigzag Fri 30-Sep-11 18:05:25

I know exactly what you mean, I used to go tatie picking when I was 9/10 and get £16 a day!

Yes, £16 shock

I was fucking loaded grin

I'm keeping my eye out for your the weirdy thread.

Salmotrutta Fri 30-Sep-11 20:03:37

Hahaha at "weirdy thread" ...

I wish I had the imagination to start one! But sadly I'm too boring. grin

Mind you, some of the most innocuous threads can turn into real belters!
