the dogs basket with him, they look so cosy and snuggly and since they've been there for 2 hours already AIBU to leave her there all night?

It would be a sin to wake her, she loves the dog, he's her best friend, they are always together, even share lunch lol

worraliberty Wed 28-Sep-11 20:56:54

She's going to stink of wet dog lol...it's a hot night.

Flisspaps Wed 28-Sep-11 20:57:33

Oh bless. She is going to stink of wet dog though sad

boxoftricks Wed 28-Sep-11 20:57:33

oooh you need to take photos for when shes a teenager!!! i would lift her into bed though when you go.

niceday Wed 28-Sep-11 20:58:24

Will you then put the dog into dd's cot?

Thingumy Wed 28-Sep-11 20:59:26

Just frontline her in the am,she'll be fine.

DogTiredDD Wed 28-Sep-11 20:59:44

She won't notice the smell will she?

AmazingBouncingFerret Wed 28-Sep-11 21:00:23

She shares lunch you say... does your DD prefer chappie or pedigree chum? grin

reelingintheyears Wed 28-Sep-11 21:00:24

Depends...what sort of dog is it?

worraliberty Wed 28-Sep-11 21:00:30

No but the dog might.....

VelvetSnow Wed 28-Sep-11 21:00:32

aww, how sweet.

I used to cuddle up with my dog (German Shepherd) as a child - loved it!

Leave her for a while, but not all night - although I'm sure you knew that anyway.

Thanks for sharing smile

reelingintheyears Wed 28-Sep-11 21:01:23

Or do you just throw her a bonio?

PeachyPossum Wed 28-Sep-11 21:01:54

One of mine did this smile So gorgeous. Love dogs smile especially those that give space to kids in their bed smile

I would move her though, after taking pics, just on the very very very off chance the dog gets spooked in the night.

DogTiredDD Wed 28-Sep-11 21:02:51

They share toast and crisps, it's really sweet. I even catch him licking her hands and face clean, he's such a good mum lol. It's a mongrel btw, bit like a lassie dog but with short legs.

AmazingBouncingFerret Wed 28-Sep-11 21:04:10

I have found my dog makes an excellent alternative to baby wipes for cleaning my DD's face after lunch/dinner. She also makes a good hoover.

AbyIsl Wed 28-Sep-11 21:05:13

Yuck! I love dogs, but I could allow one to lick my DD's face and hands! <boak> Sorry OP!

reelingintheyears Wed 28-Sep-11 21:05:17

Arrgghhh,i hate dogs licking people.

They lick their willies/fannies/arses then people let them lick their faces...

YUCK

AbyIsl Wed 28-Sep-11 21:05:43

Yes, they do make very good hoovers though!

reelingintheyears Wed 28-Sep-11 21:06:54

But,do you ever give her a bonio?

RIZZ0 Wed 28-Sep-11 21:07:36

I love my dog. He's my little prince.

I would however, vom if he licked my child's face clean with his dog bum tongue. I was on board with the cuteness until that point!

AmazingBouncingFerret Wed 28-Sep-11 21:08:00

Meh DD is constantly digging in dirt and chewing on unsanitary things. Infact I would actually be more worried about the dog catching something for her...

DogTiredDD Wed 28-Sep-11 21:08:17

I have found her eating his biscuits sometimes but he doesn't mind, if our other dog did that he'd snap at him. This is how much he loves his littel human friend.

eurochick Wed 28-Sep-11 21:09:06

The licking is ming. But the image is sweet!

SwearyMary Wed 28-Sep-11 21:10:04

My DD ate a Wainwright's dog treat yesterday, she said it was nice and herby.

I'm not sure on the letting them sleep together, its not like they're same sex or can top n tail grin

worraliberty Wed 28-Sep-11 21:10:15

Anyone else playing bingo on this thread? grin

I'm waiting for the OP to say the toddler walks the dog round the block twice a day.
