my dp went shopping today and came back with a packet of TRILL budgie seed which begs the question what does he need this for? i have asked him and he is being cagey about it !!! what other weird things have your lovely partners come home with that are totally out of the box?

effingwotnots Thu 22-Sep-11 22:32:37

Haha cagey grin

worraliberty Thu 22-Sep-11 22:32:59

Perhaps he secretly smuggles budgies?

WineGoodChildrenBad Thu 22-Sep-11 22:33:59

Well there's no need to flap about it.

LeBOF Thu 22-Sep-11 22:34:18

Perhaps he was peckish?

It used to contain cannabis seeds...

I can't wait for the thread in relationships

Check his pockets for cuttlefish. Try distracting him with a small mirror.

worraliberty Thu 22-Sep-11 22:35:24

Probably having a seedy affair....

Talking about smuggling budgies... Does he wear budgie smugglers? grin

devonshiredumpling Thu 22-Sep-11 22:39:38

if he wore them i would definately leave him

squeakytoy Thu 22-Sep-11 22:40:34

I wouldnt get too worried unless he starts to replace the carpets with sandpaper and puts a swing up near the mirror...

StealthPolarBear Thu 22-Sep-11 22:40:59

don't be so shrill
over a pack of TRILL

TalcAndTurnips Thu 22-Sep-11 22:41:11

Shit, I never knew you could grow budgies from seed! Are they tricky to germinate?

TalcAndTurnips Thu 22-Sep-11 22:44:36

And back to the original question: My DH has a thing for binoculars. He goes to the car boot and usually comes back with some.

We now have many, many pairs. He is happy because we have a pair in every room of the house. I leave that to you to analyse...

devonshiredumpling Thu 22-Sep-11 22:55:07

he could lend us a pair to look for the budgies grin

TalcAndTurnips Thu 22-Sep-11 23:01:51

You're welcome to them (they probably wouldn't even be missed)

It's the same with bits of computers and bit of bicycle. We have overflowing crates of computer wires and stuff in the cellar - like writhing baskets of snakes.

Ditto with the bike parts. He is the Jeffrey Dahmer of the bike world - there's probably a half-eaten Raleigh Shopper under the floorboards...

mine has a thing about old mobiles wont ever get rid of them and we also have the bloody chargers to go with he says they will come in handy

squeakytoy Thu 22-Sep-11 23:44:41

We have a drawer full of those too... hmm

We also have his old stereo (circa 1985) taking up precious room in the cupboard under the stairs, but he wont let me throw it out, because "it cost a fortune"... yes well, it may have, but it wont ever see the friggin light of day again, or be used, so bin the bloody thing!!!!! It is never going to be a collectors piece...

devonshiredumpling Fri 23-Sep-11 00:03:04

dont get me started on margarine pots angry

nickschick Fri 23-Sep-11 00:07:12

THIS IS TRUE.

Years ago ladies who had mastectomies fashioned their own prothesis' out of various media .....often trill birdseed......now I suspect the OPs Dh has read this thread and is secretly knitting his very own v and possibly other anatomy ........just a thought grin?

Andrewofgg Fri 23-Sep-11 07:37:51

So who's got a pretty girl then?

OP: if he comes clean or you find out why, ffs enlighten us!

devonshiredumpling Fri 23-Sep-11 20:18:49

will do but still not saying one word about it
