AIBU?

Just when I thought it was not possible for Boden to waste any more paper

They start printing a massive magazine as well as other paperwork.

They have sent me not one, not two but three!

Is this why their clothes are getting so expensive?

All I ever get from them is offers of 20% off my next order. I buy for DS his entire wardrobe, once every 3 years (I buy big, the clothes last well).

But I get these offers every few days on my e-mail. I agree, they are annoying.

I have never bought anything from Boden BUT THEY KNOW WHO I AM I just got this rather thick (almost as big as the penguin classics edition of The Time Machine) catalogue with 'You're a hard nut to crack Mrs. ---'. I do buy from Toast and Celtic and a couple of others and Boden have sent me things before but I was 'gobsmacked'. Incidentally are the clothes any good and do they come up big or small.

I meant to end that last sentence with a question mark - sorry.

.... The prize actually should go to Argos or DFS - closely followed by Viking, Lakeland and then that company based in Stow on the Wold or somewhere....

I shake all the Sunday papers over the recycling bin before I read them.

If I ever buy a magazine in a shop I do the same - shake it and leave the crap behind for them to recycle.... my recycle bin overflowith... in fact - recycling is my life.

We get so much crap delivered either from the Postman or brought into the house as packaging on items I am happy to classify my occupation as a - Stay At Home Recycler - SAHR.... believe me, it is a thankless 24-hour a day job where you need to take a major decision on each piece of packaging...

Is it real rubbish or is it recyclable ? If so, does it need rinsing before putting in the bin or just jumping up and down on the offending item to ensure that it takes up the minimum amount of space - as it is going to be hanging around for at least two weeks before it collected by the Waste Operatives..

On a bad day, I have invited the Postman in - just as he is about the deliver the mail - and dispose of his offerings straight into the recycling bin...

I guess if I had a log burning stove or something I could recycle some of the paper rubbish by mashing it up with water, stir every second day and then mould them into neat brickettes .

... but guess what - life is too short...

The clothes used to all be excellent but these days I find it's variable - some things good and others not so good. The tops are not as good quality as they used to be which is a shame. The sizing is generous for everything except the slim fitting trousers I found. And the girls wellies this year run small.

Thank you electra. I have a scruffy third year student to kit out in clothes that would be 'acceptable' smart casual. Maybe I will give them a go - after all their effort its the least I can do.

lol - one thing I will say is that the service is always good. I've never had any problem not receiving something or returning something.

I get three copies too! To make it a bit more exciting I have started getting one copy in French (I do live in France though so not too odd!).

Johnnie is bilingual you know. The models generally share the same pearls of wisdom in English and French. (Yes - I checked!)

I love their clothes I'm ashamed proud to say Grin!
