Just got a text from him saying he's going to struggle to meet me before 9 pm.

So, blown out two days in a row, I was totally right to rant at him yesterday.

What a cock sad

FlubbaBubba Tue 20-Sep-11 17:06:15

Oh poor you. Should have gone with your gut instinct sad

CurrySpice Tue 20-Sep-11 17:07:47

I didn't answer yesterday but I thought you were actually very rude to him

I'm surprised he wants to mmet you tbh!

Did he say why he couldn't make it till 9? (which imho is a perfectly acceptable time to meet anyway)

Maybe he has to work / has a class / has to do something with his kids / help his elderly mother / go to the doctor's / wait for a delivery / meet a friend in need

Maybe it's nothing to do with you

In fact. maybe it's not all about you at all

Give him a break!

DorisIsAPinkDragon Tue 20-Sep-11 17:07:54

You know what to do , bin him NOW, honestly this much trouble. RUN AWAY !!

CurrySpice Tue 20-Sep-11 17:08:30

He hasn't blown you out. He's suggested a time which you deem unsuitable!!

DorisIsAPinkDragon Tue 20-Sep-11 17:11:44

Curry it may not be the OP but he IS pissing her about ALOT, arrange then oh no can't make it... rearrange, and oh no, I can only do really late.

He is stringing you along and not really interested.

It's a first date, which he set the date and time for.
If he wanted to meet me surely he would make it?

PotatoSkins Tue 20-Sep-11 17:22:11

yeah but wondering if he 'cannot get away' as in partner or wife?
Or do you actually know him.

carrottcruncher Tue 20-Sep-11 17:24:46

I'm thinking the same.
He said 9 ish. Maybe nearer 9.30.
He wasn't sure when.

Thing is he said this about yeasterday but was logged into the dating site at 7.30 pm.

lubeybooby Tue 20-Sep-11 17:28:11

Curry! <waves from the other site> you know I really adore you but I think you're wrong here. This bloke is a twat. Trust me, having been in the internet dating thing for so long on and off, there is a certain type - the flake. This twat is one of them. You can't give an inch with dating, or they will take the piss forever. It's a different world.

He's actually logged into the dating site right now..

So, working late my arse.

missmogwi Tue 20-Sep-11 18:07:19

Get shot of him. Sounds like he's taking the piss.

FlubbaBubba Tue 20-Sep-11 18:10:16

Not that I'm sticking up for him, but he could well be using a blackberry or some such while "at work"

I still think you're doing the right thing by letting it go and moving on (and stop spying on him! wink)

Tell him it's fine and then stand him up. He's wasting your time. If he bothers to turn up at all tonight he can find out what that's like.

CurrySpice Tue 20-Sep-11 18:43:47

Ah, in that case, yes, kill him

lubes I'm always an "assume the best" kinda gal! I can see now that I'm wrong

And hello to you too my love!

heleninahandcart Tue 20-Sep-11 19:06:02

carrot See? you were right.

I'm also glad you had a mini rant yesterday. Have one for me too

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe Tue 20-Sep-11 19:09:03

Don't give him the opportunity to reject you again. You're right - if he wanted to see you, nothing would stand in his way, he's just too cowardly to say so and so he's putting up obstacles hoping that you'll fade away. You deserve better, don't accept less.
