You dont have to be mad to work here, but it helps!
Oh its laugh a minute here!

and

Im MAD, me!

Have you ever met anyone who has said this and actually been mad, or AIBU?

No, you're quite correct. I post on a triathlon forum that is stuffed full of people who have done Ironman and others who race ultras, have swum the channel and done the Marathon de Sable. We regularly get people coming on and saying "Am I craaazzzeeeee to want to do Ironman". Our reply is no, you're just the same as everyone else.

I knwo someone who bounces up to people like tigger shouting "I'm mad me!", well yes, she is, but mostly she's just bloody annoying.

YANBU. It's like a businessman who wears a Daffy Duck tie and fluorescent socks in an attempt to have a personality. Oh how wacky, zany and individual you aren't.

I don't know about mundane but they are very very annoying. Anyone who does this gets a wide berth from me.

Oh god, I hate these people. And I think that we should treat them the way Victorians treated mad people i.e. lock them away in a padded room so that they can't bother the rest of us.

Those of us who are truly mad do our very best to hide it and blend into the background, not draw attention to it;)

I frequently say "I'm mad, me" and suffering from bipolar, yes, I can catagorically say that there are times when I am in fact mad!

I think the real crazy ones are the ones who dont know they are crazy. To say it out loud makes it sound like you want to be the person everone says is mad Confused

Oh, and they're also usually the ones who have a cars sticker saying 'my other car's a Porsche' with fake plastic fingers sticking out of the boot.

I had one friend who said this, and she was completely bonkers but in a good, cheerful, not doing anyone any harm and mostly surreal/funny way.

She's the only one though. Other people have said it and been more boring than an overstarched grey shirt.

Oooh, this really bugs me, too! People who say this tend to actually have no sense of humour and are extremely irritating! Describing yourself as zany/off the wall/backbeat/upbeat/whacky or kooky tend to provoke the same irritation!

Another thing that annoys me is people who say they have a GSOH (as opposed to having a crap one?) or who say they 'love having a laugh' (as opposed to being really miserable?!).

Grrrr
