Well if dogs can go in the fridge I guess cats can go in the freezer. He'd need a coat though, else he'll get cold. You'll need gardening gloves and a prtective head gear to get the coat on him.

Actually when you put the mittens on can I come and watch? I'm a bit bored today. I promise to bring lots of gauze and antiseptic wipes with me.

Don't be so bloody stupid. You absolutely cannot keep a cat in a freezer. IT WILL DIE!

(The dog will eat it)

Proudnscary your cat is playing a game not fully understood by humans called cat-chess. It appears to involve positioning youself in such a way that you can see all the other cats but they can't see you and you can only move position if no other cat is looking. The games seems to run for hours as they keep repositioning themselves in their attempts to win.

Next time the cat is on the bin, take a look around and I bet you'll spot others cats also trying to see and not be seen.

I would also like to come and watch you try and put mittens and a hat on a cat. and then put said cat in the fridge.

Kladd - oh I know, believe me. I have seen him sitting on a shed staring down the neighbour's cat for literally hours without the other cat knowing.
But the dustbin position looks particularly territorial and bouncer-like to me.

I'd love to see someone trying to get a cat into a freezer - have you ever actually managed to make a cat do something he doesn't want to? Grin

And has anyone noticed how them seem to be telepathic? Can guarantee that when you want to put said cat in said freezer, said cat will be off into the hills before you've opened the door...

YANBU, as long as it's a zombie snowcat.

Make sure there's plenty of frozen meat in there, though, and that it's a decent-sized freezer. Say the size of a small flat. In fact, an abbatoir cold-room would be ideal for keeping a zombie snowcat. So maybe YABU after all, for wanting to keep a zombie snowcat in a normal-sized freezer.

I stayed with a german family when I was 15 - they had a dead magpie in the freezer! CREEPY Shock

I once phoned the vet from my work to book the cat in for her yearly jabs.

I work nine miles from home but she knew and heard all.

Tis a skill that humans can only dream of................

Catpower!

Ah yes, staring down a cat who doesn't know your cat exists. This I have seen!

I have also seen cats cautiously walk behind my cat, who was old and daft and didn't notice a thing! You can tell when your cat gets old, the other cats don't even bother trying to hiss at him or fight him, they just treat him like garden furniture!

Well first of all Proud, I am an honoured to have this thread inspired by yours truly.

Secondly I'm not sure why you want to put yur cat in the freezer, but I believe that freezing preserves life so once shes got over the intial shock of the cold she'll be just fine.

Thirdly MNHQ I hope you've learnt a valuable lesson about the difference between harmless trolling and harmful trolling.

Oh yes, they know, they understand, and they take evasive action against all humans.

My deaf, blind and walking-around-in-circles-due-to-a-stroke cat overheard a phone conversation with the vet arranging to put him to sleep. He heard, understood, and promptly dragged himself off the sofa and went out in the garden to sniff the flowers (with his one remaining functioning sense) and frollick in the long grass, as a way of saying "look at me mum, I've still got quality of life, please don't kill me". Bastard. Of course I couldn't do it then!

I should have put him in the freezer.

Well you are BU.

But the real question is, is a cat in the fridge with the door closed alive or dead?

And if it's a Siamese cat, will it change colour?
