Because that's what they did to the kitten my friend found in the bottom of her bin yesterday. angry

They hadn't just dumped it, they actually pushed it right down to the bottom, and covered it with the rubbish - she would probably never have found it if her neighbour's dog hadn't gone nuts, barking and scrabbling at the bin.

Luckily she has been able to find it a good home with one of her family, but I hate to think what would have happened on bin day if the neighbour's dog hadn't been passing by.

Bloody hell... sadangry

Hoping that karma rains down on the moron who did that. Why would anybody do that?

mistressploppy Mon 12-Sep-11 13:08:21

Oh no, that is so sad

I can't believe anyone would do that. Why, why, why?

TopazMortmain Mon 12-Sep-11 13:08:54

sad I have two kittens that were thrown away in a plastic bag and which were rescued. Who does that to living things? WHO?

mumto2andnomore Mon 12-Sep-11 13:09:15

Thats terrible, so pleased she found it in time though.

Chocobo Mon 12-Sep-11 13:10:20

YANBU - I don't understand why people do this. If you do not want an animal take it to a local animal shelter - it is not difficult. angry

Our pets are all inherited from people who didn't want them. Someone does!

HowAboutAHotCupOfShutTheHellUp Mon 12-Sep-11 13:40:35

Utter scum. What goes around comes around, however.

KeepInMind Mon 12-Sep-11 13:55:43

sad some people are vile.

Thank goodness for your sister

kslatts Mon 12-Sep-11 13:56:46

Thats really terrible, glad to hear the kitten was found in time.

Some people are scum.

moanymandy Mon 12-Sep-11 13:57:26

This is awful! angry they couldn't have even tried to find it a home as previously pointed out someone is ALWAYS willing to take them in, especially kittens! So much so when I was looking at getting one a few years back a lady had one left from her litter that I was going to have and someone was obviously that desperate for one as it got stolen from her out house!!

naturalbaby Mon 12-Sep-11 13:59:10

people do so much worse. i cringe every time i see a tied up bag on the side of the road/pavement wondering what's really inside after reading stories like these.

ColdSancerre Mon 12-Sep-11 14:08:29

Oh that's awful sad

MissTapestry Mon 12-Sep-11 14:22:55

sad what is wrong with people?

BunnyWunny Mon 12-Sep-11 14:42:58

I can't even bear to think about the cruelty that goes on to innocent animals. I once read a story about some local boys that cut off a cats ears and threw it on a bonfire! Shocking!

Fecklessdizzy Mon 12-Sep-11 16:08:46

What utter, utter tossers. With any luck they'll come back as something small, squeaky and edible.

That's terrible, I'm so glad it was found safely.

DogsBestFriend Mon 12-Sep-11 18:16:30

Wicked bastards. I wish them nothing but an early, slow and painful death - and I'd gladly ensure it with my bare hands.

SnapesMistress Mon 12-Sep-11 18:24:18

Wicked wicked people. Everytime I hear about animal cruelty I imagine someone abusing my cat in such a manner and feel physically sick.

HedleyLamarr Mon 12-Sep-11 18:32:06

ZukieCat "The cat I had a few years ago I rescued because the new wife of the man I got him from just didn't want him. I really felt for that guy, he obviosly adored his cat, he left the cat with me for a night to see how he got on , came back the next day to check and the tears were streaming down his face when he had to go."

If it was a case of "it's me or the cat" the cat would win.
