To not be sympathetic to dp who has man flu.

I had a cold over bank holiday weekend - 2 days of feeling not well. Dp worked all weekend so I carried on as usual - did a bit of tidying and cooked evening meal for us all.
Dp then got it last weekend and is still ill. He's spent all day in bed and has just got up but is sitting on sofa with his eyes shut, ffs! He did nothing all last Sunday as well as he was too ill.
It's now driving me mad - my sympathy has long run out.
I'll add that this week kids have gone back to school and both had their birthdays. So I've sorted all school stuff and coped with birthday sleepovers, present buying and wrapping etc on my own.
I may as well be a single parent.

I have little patience for adults like this myself, regardless of gender. YANBU.

Here here cornish

I am always very sceptical when Dh is 'too ill' to be of any use to anyone then gives me bedroom eyes. Ffs. Rivers of snot & hacking cough is just not that appealing.

Mine you, last week I was massively unimpressed with his 'bit of a runny tummy' which turned out to bs salmonella blush

The Real Experience of Manflu

You just don't think, do you?

That YouTube clip is fab!

Another man down here, my DH, and my Dad has been moaning about his cough/cold too.

No matter that I have it too and, as I'm asthmatic, it's really gone onto my chest.

Oh, and the small matter of my having given birth three weeks ago and having to get up around the clock to tend to the baby. And the toddler.

hmm

Amazing YouTube clip... my DP has been stricken with man flu for the last few days, although he did at least have the decency to apologise for not being very sympathetic about my woman flu last week! So YANBU smile

Ha I have been unwell this weekend and still done washing and cleaning. Dh has taken ds out a couple of times but also hasn't been feeling well but can't specify what's wrong hmm he went to bed when ds did for a nap today. He better not come down with man flu. I'm sympathetic when he's I'll but if you can't even tell me what's wrong then I'm not inclined to think you're that unwell.

I would never get to lay in bed all day and do absolutely nothing towards the running of the household. Just making me v angry at the moment.
The thing is he's been to work all week so cant be that bad, but now on his day off he may as well not have been here.
I told him if he'd taken a couple of days off sick he probably would have recovered by now.

They get 24hrs to milk it in this house. After that, I'm impervious.
