AIBU?

To wonder why badgers get such a rough deal?

Noticed lately that there have been a few badgerist remarks and I'm not happy about it. 'Rough as a badger's arse' was one. Badger bottoms are very soft and smooth actually.

'Mad as a badger locked in a wardrobe' was another. My badger is always very quiet and sensible when locked away in the Naughty Wardrobe. He knows he's done wrong and accepts his punishment.

All I'm saying is, give badgers a chance!

'badger' is a local term for a homosexual round these parts

Troisgarcons, really? I had wondered about my badger, he's always been more of a man's badger iyswim.

nods no idea where it originates but the phrase "he's a happy badger" has certain connotations!

I agree badgers are being maligned.
I noticed on here the other day insult 'twatbadger'. Grin

Although I remember 'bodger and badger' from kids tv. And that badger was a twat, with his mashed potato. So maybe that's fair enough.

SayCool I think you will find that I have ALREADY APOLOGISED for my comment re badgers and wardrobes.

For the record let me state that I was not being, and have never been, badgerist.

MY badger was VERY CROSS when he was locked in the wardrobe. I was speaking from personal experience and did not in any way intend for my remark to be read as a sweeping generalisation.

Ola but you just didn't think how your words would affect MY badger. He read your comments and was very confused. I had to cuddle him all night to soothe him, gentle soul that he is.

I cuddle my badger EVERY NIGHT whether he is in need of "soothing" or not. Grin

Some of us choose different badger-raising techniques. That's fine.

Badgers are ornery bastards and deserve everything they get

Look it's true that I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of a honey badger unless Steve Backshall was there to protect me but generally they're sweet loving creatures....

Badgers are home-and-garden destroying bunches of arse and are vicious to boot.

They do make good dance music though. A bit like Talking Heads on acid.
