here

I was considering buying some "sexy" and by sexy I mean not granny panties from George at Asda, so would like to find somethign in my size. I have looked at several "plus sized" web sites and none of them show anyone who looks remotely plus sized to me. They just have huge boobs which means they look nothing like me and I have no idea if I would look disgusting or not in any of the clothes.

I just want to see a fat girl who looks like me wearing the clothes!

Models are considered to be "plus sized" if they are a UK 12 or over so she does look about right. However in RL very few people would consider her to be plus sized.

I'm pretty certain that in fashion anyone over a 12 is considered a plus size. With anyone over a size 16 considered too obese to work. :(

She's never plus sized.

She's plus sized for a lingerie model. Have you seen that Rosie Huntingfon Whatever creature in undies? Skin and bone.

They don't use fat girls because let's face it, we don't look that the girl in that link.

She's plus sized in the 'model world' - i mean she's not stick thin. But in the real world she's average and has a lovely figure . Smile

I think she just looks average sized and should be showing "normal clothes" not like most models who are underweight.

I would like to see someone large though showing "plus sized". She is so far removed from me it isn't funny. Even more so than the average woman looking at a 00 sized model in Vogue.

I once picked up a clothing catalogue on the tube for plus sized clothing with sizes bigger than I had ever imagined existing. All the models appeared to be about a size 12, sometimes they even seemed too small for the clothes. Why oh why would they be used to sell things to people wanting their size 30 clothes? It was impossible to imagine what these clothes would look like. I kept turning the pages wondering if there would be a different model and gasping in amazement.

I'm not plus sized, I just have huge boobs and I wouldn't dream of buying a bra that is advertised with a model smaller than a D cup because I couldn't imagine it fitting or even supporting.

It looks like an American site, she looks a bit bigger than normal underwear models, she's no where near plus sized by my standard but I doubt she would be used on the catwalk as a regular sized model.

Evans have featured some gorgeous plus sized models in their mini catalogue this month but even their underwear models look barely a size 14. I guess they have to balance catering to the market and ensuring people still like the look of their clothes on the model.

Clothes still look better on plus sized models than they do on the average plus sized non model anyway because it's a proportion thing, so to me it makes no real difference. So YABU!

She's probably a 16 top because of her boobs but definitely not plus sized!

She's been photoshopped to shit. Note the way the space between her waist and arm on the left side is white, rather than reflecting the actual background. Similar shit photoshopping on the right, but they've actuallmy manged to fit in the background this time. I am really really shit at photoshop, and even I can do a better job than that.

So yeah, she might have been slightly plus-sized before they shopped her, but the doctored image isn't.

Sorry, but according to the modelling industry, she is plus size. I think she looks about a 14.

Closer to 14 to 16 than 12 to 14.

I think she's actually pretty damn close to perfection, figure wise! Don't ever buy clothes by the picture of the model, because a model is there to make the garment look its 'best' not to look how it would look on the person buying it... the garment goes up to plus size, that's the key thing.

I'd always see if I like something, order it, try it on, and if it looks shit, send it back. If the site won't let you do that, they're not worth ordering from.

I don't think so. That's a window behind here and the white is the light shining in. When I weigh about a stone less than I do now I have a proportionally very small waist compared to my hips and boobs like her. Even now with a BMI of 29 you can see my bottom rib bone sticking out slightly when I stand up straight if nudie.
