in my bed. And that the sodding cat is asleep in her crib?

heronsfly Thu 08-Sep-11 19:21:08

Sounds normal to me grin

FreudianSlipper Thu 08-Sep-11 19:21:31

that is what happened here too, ds started to sleep in my bed and the cat in the moses basket

ds i still in my bed nearly 4 years later and the cat has joined us

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:22:35

Bloody cat would never ina millino years fit in a moses back <snort> fat arse cat

TheCrackFox Thu 08-Sep-11 19:22:55

I am going to sound like a right old fart but enjoy it while it lasts.

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:28:01

Do you mean dd napping or dcat in her bed TCF grin

heronsfly when shoudl I expect dcat to progress to a toddler bed...

heronsfly Thu 08-Sep-11 19:36:28

It has lasted in our house, dds 2&3 age 12 and 14 are sprawled on my bed watching a dvd, and both of their beds has a cat asleep on its pillow !

TheDetective Thu 08-Sep-11 19:39:13

FreudianSlipper Perhaps the cat simply misheard you, and thought you mentioned the mouses basket...?!

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:39:54

Actually laughed out loud at the mental image- then got a bit sad grin

FabbyChic Thu 08-Sep-11 19:41:23

Thats gross that a cat sleeps in your babys bed, they are the greatest harbingers of fleas.

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:42:21

TheDetective get your coat...

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:43:56

FabbyChic mine haven't got fleas, don't go out side and eat considerably less crap that they find on the floor than dd. Technically they should be disgusted to sleep in her bed...

TheDetective Thu 08-Sep-11 19:45:13

Can't SouthernFriedTofu, the cat is sleeping on it grin

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 19:46:50

grin

FreudianSlipper Thu 08-Sep-11 19:47:16

smile made me chuckle

my cat has not got fleas. though he does lick his bum and licks our feet

JonahB Thu 08-Sep-11 19:48:02

Sounds about normal to me. In cat's mind: warm? check. enclosed? check. nice and soft for my delicate torso? check. a suitable place for my precocious, grandious tendencies? check. perfectly legitimate location to snooze as this entire house is actually MINE. ALL. MINE? check. grin

Teaandcakeplease Thu 08-Sep-11 19:49:39

YANBU grin

envy that you have a cat though, I grew up with them but can't have them in my top floor flat where I live now really.

scuzy Thu 08-Sep-11 19:51:27

bit grossed out about a cat sleeping in moses basket.... no matter how much they are part of the family they are animals. they lick they're arse ffs!

scuzy Thu 08-Sep-11 19:51:38

*their

TheDetective Thu 08-Sep-11 19:57:48

To be fair, humans do just as gross stuff...!

FreudianSlipper Thu 08-Sep-11 19:58:04

the moses basket became his bed, ds moved to mine

now we all share grin i love being woken up by ds then the cat having his share of hugs too, he usualy snuggles in the middle to remind ds he was around first

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 20:06:03

Um scuzy could I kindly direct you to this thread if you ever have a stuck poo.

Lest you be under the impression that humans or indeed your fellow mumsnetters are not equally as gross as cats

SouthernFriedTofu Thu 08-Sep-11 20:07:00

nice and soft for my delicate torso

grin

TheDetective Thu 08-Sep-11 20:07:05

One of my cats has taken to sleeping on my head lately! Last night the other one dragged a folded double duvet cover off the bannister and slept on it - still all folded up. And hairy. Tut.

x2boys Thu 08-Sep-11 20:07:21
