Because I am jealous?

Got rid of my PC - gifted to parents - to make room for baby and cancelled my subscription.

Now I'm all jealous and resentful like. ESP as they now have a new warlock sad

I just tried to play that tonight for the first time and don't understand how to do anything! So shut it down!

CoteDAzur Mon 05-Sep-11 23:11:21

YABU possibly, I can't tell as i have no idea what you are on about.

ChocolateTeacup Mon 05-Sep-11 23:11:47

Awesome, why not do a rota?

But are you Alliance or Horde that is the important question and what server

ChocolateTeacup Mon 05-Sep-11 23:12:44

Plus you need to get back for transmogrification

Kayano Mon 05-Sep-11 23:14:25

They just moved servers without me which is fair enough because out server was pretty lame

Dragonmaw - avoid avoid avoid

We were alliance because we like to go against the grain and everyone seems to be horde now lol. Like a challenge :P

Lilithmoon Mon 05-Sep-11 23:15:17

YY to rota. You could try Shiaya, it's free and really good smile

ChocolateTeacup Mon 05-Sep-11 23:17:48

FTA grin I am on Saurfang atm which is nice, but yes you need to talk to him and sort a rota, assuming you still want to play

Kayano Mon 05-Sep-11 23:19:58

Rota won't work because we played together and he was main tank etc... Had a guild of mates and he is needed on raid days

I don't like playing alone anymore and don't want to join a new guild just so I can raid. Alas, my wow days are over for now.

I might name my unborn child after my succumbus lol. - she was called Marrisa :p

I kid

YANBU. I had to send my laptop away for repair, and DH continued to play WoW. I was very miffed.

Kladdkaka Mon 05-Sep-11 23:35:03

You are not being unreasonable. We have 3 computers in our house purely so we don't fight over WoW time.

I have Aspergers so my obsessive nature means I have one of every class and race. Apart from undead coz they freak me out.

Crosshair Mon 05-Sep-11 23:38:56

YABU wow is for noobs!

Whatmeworry Tue 06-Sep-11 00:37:04

Get him off now! - he's probably the guy keeping my teen DS's on the darn thing.

And show him this:

Make Love Not Warcraft

Kayano Tue 06-Sep-11 00:40:25

He is snoring next to me now :D
Wiped too many times. Thank god lol

Night all x

AuntiePickleBottom Tue 06-Sep-11 09:56:47

get a 3 screen setup and play together

extremepie Tue 06-Sep-11 12:40:24

I saw an awesome t-shirt online - 'You have epic pants, I hope they drop' :D

roulade Tue 06-Sep-11 13:12:44

I agree with Crosshair grin

SnakeOnCrack Tue 06-Sep-11 14:08:13

Now come here to me, can you explain this WoW business to me then? So it's a role play game where you go around in groups attacking others and stuff? And.. what's the aim of the game? Is it not a game to dip in and out of then?

I don't want to play (haven't the time) but am fascinated that it sucks people in so entirely!

Crosshair Tue 06-Sep-11 14:10:26

dirtydishesmakemesad Tue 06-Sep-11 14:21:07

dh and I used to play but he decided to move onto other games instead and no its just me a lonely pathetic priest that all and sundry seem to slaughter at will. We made such a good team sob sob. I cancelled mine after getting killed for about the 3000th time without my sidekick.

GeekStinkBreath Tue 06-Sep-11 14:23:36

Buy a new laptop and play the sims it's ACE and addictive and the best thing is - you can create your own family grin show DH your little mini-me and mini-him walking around and then a few days after you started the game, show him your little mini-me shagging Mortimer Goth (neighbour) because the little mini-him was too busy on computer games to notice. See if he gets the hint.

RozziPringle Tue 06-Sep-11 14:26:17

I have the same problem with my OH he has a pally tank and is on there a lot!
I have a mage and am not jealous at all that he gets to play more than me envy

Fleurdebleurgh Tue 06-Sep-11 14:42:27

YABU! My long suffering husband has sat through 5 years of me shouting at people whilst raid leading.

Dont be so mean ;)

Kladdkaka Tue 06-Sep-11 14:49:29

Crosshair love it!

Lougle Tue 06-Sep-11 16:04:43

SnakeonCrack World of Warcraft's nickname is 'World of Warcrack'.

It is a MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game).

The game has several servers. Each server is self-contained, i.e. you cannot just 'switch' servers (you have to pay a fee) and you cannot contact or communicate with players from other servers.

Each server is its own 'world'. So, for example, an item might be worth 600g on one server, but only worth 300g on another.

Each account is allowed 10 characters. Players can choose both race (human, worgen, night elf, dwarf, etc.) and class (Priest, Paladin, Warrior, Death Knight, Druid, etc.). Players can choose (a limited) skin tone and hair style/colour. This means you get unique 'characters'.

Within the game you level up by completing quests. As you level up, you gain abilities according to your class (and occasionally race). Once you get to a certain level, you start getting 'talent' points, which you can use to add to your abilities, or enhance current ones.

Each character is independent of the others, but you can send mail to each other, including items. Each character can learn to fish and cook. Then they can learn 2 other professions (herbalism, mining, skinning, alchemy, inscription, etc.).

They can sell things on the Auction House to other players on the same server.

They can join a guild, which is a group of players who play together.

It sounds odd, but it really does become quite 'real', because often while you play, you are chatting with real people. Ok, you don't know their faces, but you get to learn their 'voices'. A bit like MN in that respect.

So the variety (for quite a while) is huge. If you want to, you can group with other players to do dungeons or raids. If you don't fancy that, you can do some Player vs Player combat. If you don't fancy that, you can go collecting herbs, or making things, and sell them on the AH. If you don't fancy any of that, you can simply park yourself somewhere and chat online.
