AIBU?

to think George Clooney is just a bad actor

Seriously, I have never seen him in anything where he is not playing George Clooney. He is ALWAYS the same.

and he RUINED Batman after Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer did so well with it.

Give me one film where he actually acts and doesn't ONCE do that 'rueful look with headtilt' and I might change my mind.

Felt a bit sorry for him in the one where he flys a lot. But apart from that not keen.

But he's so lovely to look at Grin

I don't think I've ever seen a film with him in Grin sheltered life lol I never thought he was so incredibly handsome when the whole world seemed to rave about how handsome he is/was either. The only thing I think I've ever seen him in was Roseanne, and then it had to be pointed out to me that it was him.

Me too Rowena. And he played such a twit in Roseanne that I could never think of him as anything else! The only places I've seen him since are in magazines where everyone raves about him.

I think he's brilliant in 'up in the air' - looks really desperate.

I think he is wonderful! Sorry Grin

He is definitely not a bad actor, however he does often stretch much, I think he can be quite good in comedies, he should do more of those

I meant he does not often stretch much and banks on certain types, i think he has other interests which he works to finance and once in a while he acts a gem

Woudn't call him versatile, but he's better in some movies than others though. In some, he's just totally miscast, take 'Perfect Storm' for instance - hardly credible as a fisherman, is he?

I'm more interested in how he's gotten to the age he is without some golddigger getting knocked up by him. What do people think? Has he had the snip?

Serial monogomist/commitment-phobe: can't see his appeal, I mean how can women settle so easily for being hundreds of other womens' sloppy seconds??

I think he's a good actor - shit actors don't tend to get Oscar nominated.

he has said himself many times that he was hopelessly miscast in Batman

I don't care if he can't act, I wouldn't kick him out of bed. Grin

YY, no chance of anyone getting accidentally knocked up by him I think.

It's not just batman though, every film that I have seen him in(and to be fair, I can't stand him, so I haven't exactly searched them out) he has played the same character.

Of all actors to dislike, he is very low on the list ....

My mum once memorably said that she couldn't understand why George Clooney was considered a sex symbol - his ears were far too big. Turns out she was thinking of Martin ClunesGrin.

Hmmm I still don't buy the gay thing.

He was married and he definitely shags women because I know one of them...
