Into a newish mini. Shit. Jumps out my corsa 2 check mini, see scratches so go back 2 my car for pen n paper to give details. Mini driver gets in his car and drives away before ive had chance to appoligies. My car has bumper out slightly.
Feel really bad because other driver hasnt noticed the scratches.

did you get the number plate of the car, you could notifiy the police in the local area incase they get in touch when they get home, if not i would not worrie about it.


i did the same a few months ago and the police took my details and nothing came of it.

I would go to your local police station. Failing to report an accident is an offence and the mini-driver might well decide to report you if they notice the scratches later on.

Do you think they were aware of it or that literally they jumped in their car when your back was turned kind of thing?

...just checked back , am laughing at "school run "...i actually ment "football run ".Think it was the shock that made me confused ....saturday is football, schools not back until monday.

Anyway ...phoned local station and they told me they`d keep a record that i phoned and if anyone with a blue mini complains they will get back in touch.
Bit embarrising when asked what the regi was and i couldnt tell them...

Dont think there is much else i can do .
Still feeling very guity about it though.

Someone had seen her do it & told staff. The owner of the other car was waiting to take her details.

exact same thing happened to me, except i was the victim - she drove off, lady saw her do it and called me via tannoy in supermarket. I called the police when i got home. Bet the cow got a right shock when the police turned up on her doorstep

You did the right thing op by ringing the police and after all - it's just a few scratches. Nobody has died - tried not to beat yourself up too much.
