AIBU?

To not go on holiday with man and his son again next year?

Recently come back from 2 weeks in Orlando. Lovely place, enjoyed the holiday. However one day early on in the holiday I went downstairs to use the payphone and came back up 15 minutes later to this scene:

Both matresses off the bed and slung across the floor, man wrapped in bedsheet and wriggling around on the floor, chair tipped over, bedside lamp knocked onto the floor, clothes thrown all over the floor, a cup of coffee on its side all over the carpet and toilet roll all over the room. I said "what the hell have you been doing??" and they both burst out laughing and said "Playfighting"> With that the maid knocked and entered and I swear her eyes visibily grew bigger as she surveyed the carnage and she promptly walked back out again. I told them to get it all cleaned up whilst me and DD went across to the waterpark. 20 minutes after we got to the waterpark they turned up and said they'd tidied the room. Man then squirted DD with suncream IN THE FACE for "a laugh". She got upset, I got angry, he apologised and his son then began squirting suncream all over man and onto another person's towel. They then both ran off to the water and I realised that everyone was looking at me. I was so embarrassed.

Got back to the hotel and all that had been tidied up was the matresses which were now back on the beds. Everything else was just a tip.

So later in the day to save an argument we all tidied up together. The next day however the room was back in the same state as earlier and this continued all through the holiday.

So as I say we've just got home and he's saying "oh we really need to book for next year!" however I plan to go somwhere different with just DD and me. AIBU? Snobby?

YANBU - although they do say Orlando brings out the kid in you.

What a pillock (him not you).

Tell him after your holiday does he really expect you to go away with him again? and then book a lovely holiday for your daughter and you.

YANBU. Book somewhere for just yourself and DD next year.
You will have a ball without this 'man'.

YANBU, playfioghting is all well and good but I would be thoroughly ashamed of anyone who would leave that sort of mess for a maid to clean up, if you are lucky enough to have room service.
The poolside behaviour is ridiculous as well.

I'm all for making dens in hotel rooms or wherever you are staying on holiday, it's fun.

But this man is takng fun to the extreme and being pathetic. I wouldn't want to go away with him and be made to feel like I was the only responsible adult on the trip.

So why are you in a relationship with an overgrown child? What redeeming features does he have for being a total arsehole when he's on holiday?

I certainly wouldn't be holidaying with him again if he takes no responsibility for the mess he deliberately creates.

But I'm guessing this wasn't just a sudden change of behaviour?
