Not unreasonable at all. "It was sent today" is well known office code for "oh shit, I forgot all about it"

Yep, after being pressed it turns out, much to our surprise, that it wasn't sent.

I'm willing to bet it still isn't sent today.

Wonder if I'll see it before the next millenia
