for eating my birthday cake with a spoon in my pajamas?

It was my <sharp breath in> 25th birthday yesterday. My dh has come out in Chicken Pox just as ds (17mo) is recovering...I'm 7 months pregnant and had to finish attaching skirting boards to our new house before the carpet turns up tomorrow.

I have decided today, to sit in my pajamas (albeit rather fetching maternity pajamas) and eat my chocolate fudge birthday cake (still in its box) with a serving spoon.

I think this is acceptable. I doubt my mother agrees.

does your mother want her own spoon then?? it would be nice to share.

Happy Birthday!
You have the right attitude!

Why have you got a spoon in your pyjamas....surely it would be more useful for eating the cake?? grin

LadyOfTheManor Sun 21-Aug-11 11:13:28

I nearly used a wooden stirring spoon as the craving really hit me.

I don't even want to share any of it. I think dh will be disgusted when he returns from his death bed to find me covered in chocolate in my pajamas with crumbs in my hair and under my nails.

<guilty face>

I didn't even save a piece for ds...but I've eaten it in such a way I can't salvage a slice...just a spoon full if that.

Pictish grin ha! Yes, I just re read it. I'd blame it on baby brain but it's more likely to be a sugar rush...that or diabetes setting in.

The only unreasonable thing you're doing is stopping eating the cake long enough to post on here!

Happy Birthday!

Ds won't notice, put a candle in a sandwich later and blow it out

Dh will just have to accept that this is your coping mechanism

And what your mum can't see, your mum can't judge wink

Alright, alright I see I worded it completely wrong!

For the record, the cake, nor the spoon are in my pajamas.

grin it's all in my tummy-the cake, not the spoon, or my pajamas.

LadyOfTheManor Sun 21-Aug-11 19:08:32

Yes but I was reminded today that I'm close to 30 and then to death!

I think I need another cake.

LadyOfTheManor Sun 21-Aug-11 19:32:58

Purple, my love, you may reach death in a short quarter. I'd share my cake but I've eaten it all I'm a fat greedy bitch so and so and clearly don't know the meaning of sharing.

youarekidding Sun 21-Aug-11 19:33:34

Yeah OI, I was 31, should I start a funeral pre payment plan. wink

WannaBeMarryPoppins Sun 21-Aug-11 19:34:59

I don't see a problem with it at all. Happy Birthday!! Cake is one of the best thing about birthdays. I hope you are watching some crappy day time tv with it too
