AIBU?

... to be grumpy...?

Took the DCs in to the city today:

bus fares £13
cinema VIP seats (they pleaded) £26
cinema sweeties and drinks (they pleaded) £6
lunchtime picnic £12 (Boots Meal Deal, we sat in the park)
afternoon in newly-opened museum - mobbed
afternoon snack in swanky cafe £12
railway and football magazines £10
all had to stand in bus for 20 miles home.

I am knackered.

AIBU to be grumpy that they are fighting this evening, refusing to put their laundry in the basket (do you guys want clean clothes for school on Monday?), asking me if I want a hot choc and then saying "make it yourself".

Frankly I just want them to go to bed.

Thing is, I wouldn't be thinking about how much I bleedin' well spent on them if they weren't being so horrible now ...! It was lovely at the time (apart from the standing on the bus!)

alpha, you talk much wisdom. They have made their own hot chocs (and one for me) and they will be going bedward very soon ...!

YABU.

You chose to spend the cash, and you're allowing your DC to behave badly.

Send them to bed and plan how to avoid spending as much next time (with the wine that alphabetty is suggesting)
