AIBU?

To emigrate here from Netmums?

I'm running over here after a great many disappointing years on Netmums.

It's an over-moderated, under-imaginative and purile site where threads are deleted left right and centre because the OP (Or some other busybody) goes crying to the mods to have it removed.

Debate is definately NOT encouraged.

You must tow the line and accept a very rigid general view of parenting to be a Netmum. If I felt any more restricted I'd be in a straight jacket!

And excuse the FUCK out of me for needing to swear every now and then.

Oh yeah, feeling much better now!

You sound like you'll fit in. No calling anyone "Hun" though. And no asking for tickers.

And you must swear a lot. Especially in thread titles. No whining on AIBU if we think you are BU. And hug us and we will eat you alive.

Apart from that, welcome to the Dark Side Grin

I don't think there are any rules that mean you can't be on both but if you think you will like it here I hope you feel very welcome. :)

SarahStratton a look at the AIBU section is what finally sealed the deal. This seems on a whole other level to Netmums!

Debating actually looks possible and, dare I say it, FUN over here!

You picked an interesting day to turn up.

Have you tried DVDA?

I can't bloody stand netmums, the posters all seem barely literate. I mean, really, is your/you're or there/their/they're that hard?!

Um I'm not fucking a Hun. I was being A Fucking Hun. Just to clear that one up.

Of course you are not being bloody unreasonable, why oh why would anyone want to chat on a pink sparkly fucking website and not to mention the god damn '3 days'2 hours, 5 mins and 12 seconds since my beautiful angelic cherub child shat his pants in the supermarket' tickers Confused

No Hunning
No Hugging (unless there is a natural disaster)
No Censoring of any kind
No constant bragging about how utterly amzing Tarquin is at wiping his arse and dealing with teething is at 6 months old
Oh and no text speak

BUT please feel free to
Swear
Shout
Rant
Argue

I take no issue with being corrected on bad spelling / grammar Nancy. I'm a defender of the English language myself.

I agree about "hun" I think it's very disingenuous

I'm a recent convert from NM as well. I have to be honest, it was very kind to me when I had some tough times, but it has really gone downhill over the last few months. Must say, I'm enjoying myself over here:)
