Hi everyone

A friend of mine is worried about her daughter. She is 21 months old and for the past 2 weeks she has being sick at bedtime. She was quite a sicky baby but has been fine since she was 1 then all of a sudden when she is put to bed within a few minutes after story time she is just being sick. Sometimes she is sick more than others and she isnt worked up before being sick . My friend is feeling anxious and would like to hear if anyone else has had any other experiences of this?

Answers appreciated

P.s posted in chat too but posted her as she needs some urgent reassurance.

TBH I think your friend should take her daughter to see a medical professional rather than get you to ask on here tbh. Even a doctor on here won't be able to say that the child is fine without seeing her.

I'm not sure what to say really, I'd have gone to the Dr's by now - has she not seen her GP? Is there something, like milk, that she has every evening that could be making her sick? Or some kind of fragrance in the room?

Thanks mighty she is going to take her this week and she is writing a diary of what she eats but she just wants to hear if anyone else has had this experience.

Hope she's ok! The doctor will help the most tbh. But just wondering, if there is nothing wrong with her medically, could she be having separation anxiety or bedtime problems? Sounds daft, I know, but I wonder if she could be wanting further attention? Please, I'm not being callous, just wondering.

Your friend needs to get her DD to the GP.

FWIW both of my DD were very sickly at bedtime when they were teething, DD1 was much worse and not a sickly child.
Is your friends DD teething at all? Even so she should still go the the GP as a precaution.

My DD was sick at bedtime when I was trying to get her to sleep alone in new bed. But she was v upset and cried before being sick...I was reading The All New Baby and Toddler Sleep Programme (great book) which said to expect sickness. But that was a new experience for her.
