because I can't get anything done when Deadly 60 is on and he is marching around with his muscles on display being all manly and things...[swoon emoticon]

ProcrastinatorGeneral Fri 12-Aug-11 12:05:29

My daughter asked a few months back if she could have Steve as her dad. I said that if she could pull off the kidnap coup of the century I wouldn't be averse to the idea grin

AuntieMonica Fri 12-Aug-11 12:05:50

i think he should definitely wrestle more constrictors and get more hot and more sweaty doing so

and then let some dainty little spiders run up his fabulously toned arms hand to show how gentle he is too

he's fucking gorgeous!

SaulGood Fri 12-Aug-11 12:05:52

DD is watching cbbc atm. Is this bloke the one I've just caught a glimpse of, fiddling with a snake?

He's very bulky and seems to like bothering ants.

skybluepearl Fri 12-Aug-11 12:06:59

he can bother me instead if he likes

LynetteScavo Fri 12-Aug-11 12:07:36

Steve Backshall is one of the best things about the summer holidays.

mankyscotslass Fri 12-Aug-11 12:08:58

Was it a big snake? grin

Luckily for me, DD loves Deadly 60 and records it everytime, it's the hihlight of my morning!

GretaGip Fri 12-Aug-11 12:09:09

I wonder if the DDs would like an SB calenderrrrrr for Christmas?

[innocent]

TakeMeDrunkImHome Fri 12-Aug-11 12:10:24

Snake wrestling, ant bothering, spider fettling, ooh he's all man is Stevie

SaulGood Fri 12-Aug-11 12:11:24

For a big bloke whose top keeps falling off, he's a wee bit girly, no?

TakeMeDrunkImHome Fri 12-Aug-11 12:12:19

GIRLY? Pray tell, HOW is he girly!!!

AuntieMonica Fri 12-Aug-11 12:12:49

what's wrong with being 'girly'? <represses inner feminist and goes back to perving watching Deadly 60>

SaulGood Fri 12-Aug-11 12:14:58

Nowt wrong with being girly at all. I just find his voice/mannerisms at odds with his physical presence. Absolutely no reason why he shouldn't have a girly voice and like moisturiser, but this is how I see him in my minds' eye now. Singing Cyndi Lauper songs and exfoliating.

TakeMeDrunkImHome Fri 12-Aug-11 12:28:35

He can sing Cyndi Lauper songs in the bath and i'll do the exfoliating grin

Illegitimate Fri 12-Aug-11 12:32:12

I met him at the Deadly 60 road show and it took all my strength not to lick him

SaulGood Fri 12-Aug-11 12:34:01

He just said 'all aboard the big, pink fun bus'.

Seriously? You want to lick this man?

Oh he's penetrating untouched forests now.

AuntieMonica Fri 12-Aug-11 12:35:56

<resists filthy retort about touching forests>

ProcrastinatorGeneral Fri 12-Aug-11 12:49:39

Illegitimate I would probably have needed restraining.

gallicgirl Fri 12-Aug-11 13:27:30

Have you seen the fabulous episode from Shanghai (I think) where he races a gheko climbing up a building?

Ooooo the lycra. He got quite sweaty in all that heat.

LetUsPrey Fri 12-Aug-11 13:29:18

Oh lovely! A Steve thread. The things I would do to/with that man!

I met him in April at the Manchester Museum. I may have posted on MN about it. Illegitimate I know what you mean about having to be very self-controlled re not licking him. I stood behind him (he was sitting in front of me) for a photo. Whilst the photographer was organising the shot, I just kept looking down at the back of Steve's neck, biting my bottom lip with the effort of restraining myself.

Good job they didn't take the photo then. You'd have just seen me staring down at Steve's neck lustfully!

LetUsPrey Fri 12-Aug-11 13:30:58

gallicgirl - It's in Thailand I think.

I have to get back to work shortly but the thought of this thread and topless Steve will keep me going all afternoon! grin

LetUsPrey Fri 12-Aug-11 13:33:57

Oh and OP - YABU!

piprabbit Fri 12-Aug-11 13:34:30

Best moment - swallow diving (shirtless of course) off the boat into the Amazon.

I could cheerfully do Gnomi (off the roadshow) a serious injury for daring to share a screen with Mr B.

BupcakesandCunting Fri 12-Aug-11 13:52:57

"He just said 'all aboard the big, pink fun bus'."

That definitely sounds like a euphemism.

EightToSixer Fri 12-Aug-11 13:53:06

Laughing so much at this thread. He's amazing isn't he? It's not so muscles, well ok it is, but it's mainly how passionate he is about everything he comes across, it's such a nice characteristic. Plus he manages not to come across like that Parker charact in friends when he does so (isn't this the best fight you've ever had?).
Enthusiasm and muscles in one beautiful passionate package.
