You may mock Obviously, but my Active Convos will now longer have any ante/post natal clubs or breast pump threads and I am rather pleased.

Lol. I hate camping with a vengeance - walls that move: nonono. [but] I still keep the topic because I derive an odd sort of pleasure from people talking about tent sizes, portaloos, electric Hopkins and kids clubs. Hmm

Need some Wine then will have a peruse I think...

Keeps the baby names stuff off my screen, it's alright by me.

Grin But WHY Paschaelina?

Been fiddling about in options and stuff and now I realise there is a "mumsnet mates" section. Mine is empty (obvious really from the way I am talking to myself here). Does anyone use this? Am I MardyNoMates?

Baby names? Definitely hidden. I'll be your mate, Mardy. No idea how to do that though. Off to look.

Report
MardyBra · 09/08/2011 20:02

Ah, RedBlanket. I have just deleted conception from my perimenopausal life, but I still like to peruse interfere with and have a laugh at other people's baby name choices. So Baby Names stays.

I quite like the camping threads. I think it romanticises camping wonderfully. Not enough to actually want to go camping of course.......

Paschaelina It's under MyMumsnet, My Profile. I've added you as a "mate" but I have no idea what this means. Do I have to make you a Brew or offer Wine every time I see you on the screen now?

Yes MardyBra its in the small print "all mates must offer Brew and/or Wine whenever they encounter each other. Like the Masonic secret handshake. I have added you as a mate and so far you are the only one. Grin

I may go hunting for more.

PMSL at MardyBra's own AIBU blog :o

But then, I have had vodka, so I would probably PMSL at pretty much anything.

(It's either that or cry at what's happening in London)

Oh, I don't like camping either. But I enjoy occasionally reading about little portable stoves and camping kettles and the like.

What's the mates thing?

Report
BitOfFun · 09/08/2011 20:53

Yes, what was the point of Mumsnet Mates? I think it was set up so only your pals could see your profile or photos, but I don't know anybody that uses it.
