Something about weddings perhaps. Or mad neighbours.

Or leaving a preemie while you go waterskiing.

Share your memorable AIBU topics if you feel like it.

Share the threads you remember FGS. I am stupid.

"I can't live on 100K because I need to buy flowers and tithe" was one of the first I came across.

How about;
My 106 year old neighbour has no arms or legs, AIBU to think they don't need benefits and could quite easily get a job putting the edging on pies with their false (NHS) teeth.

Ok i made it up, to have a break from the rioting.

When i joined it was all BLW and the evilness of spoons.

There was a really good one months ago about an unenthusiastic sister-in-law who didn't particularly want to go to the OPs planned wedding anniversary weekend celebration in a country house. The planned celebration sounded like hell on earth it would have been lovely.
The OP didn't like it when people sided with her SIL and flounced off big time.

Grin at job putting edges on pies.

I do love a good unreasonable hell on earth wedding and anniversary theme.

It was a fabulous thread - it involved a pony and everything.

Was it the one where the OP had dyed the pony pink?

There was also the one about the fur coat that was given as a gift to the OP then the person asked for it back 15 years later and it all got VERY confusing. That was rather fab too.

"I can't live on 100K because I need to buy flowers and tithe"

Just when I'd made the difficult decision to ditch the tithing as flowers bring me considerably more pleasure than giving 10% of my income to poor people, my df gave me £100,000 to buy knick-knacks for the flat he bought me a few months back.

AIBU to spend the £20,000 I've saved on tithing on a few pairs of Laboutins and a designer handbang or two, or should I buy some decent wallpaper for my dressing room?

No, I don't think so. The pony had been a gift to the SILs daughter but somehow it all ended up in the story Confused.
The upshot was the OP accused everyone who posted of being just awful and then ran away.............

I remember that! Was it lambswool?

Also the "my nanny serves my DC pre-cooked pasta rather than making it by hand.

I remember that salmotrutta!

I like the current one with the op who really though she was being reasonable leaving on her security light whilst the kids camped in the back garden... And then she did another thread about it twit

YANBU.

But you are not being very unconventional either. Perhaps we need a spoof AIBU? So here's my contribution..

I am spending the weekend kite surfing. AIBU to consider leaving my 7dcs in their room, with one of those timed feeders (like you feed dogs/cats whilst you are out), or should I give them a couple of tins of beans and a can opener? AIBU to want to enjoy my kite surfing without DCs? They ate all under 6. This is old enough to leave them, the 6yo is very mature for her age.

Persian lamb, or Astrakhan (?? Confused).......... or something?
The OP may have swapped it for a fake - or maybe not. It went on for days......................

Are we allowed to link threads like that if someone flounces off or is that bad etiquette?

I am wondering if this is a dig at me, I didn't start a thread, I commented on a thread, we don't earn 100K and we don't have a flower habit. ( so maybe it isn't me Blush We are however finding things economically difficult ( although as I said on the thread no where near as hard as others) and yet it is still important to us to support causes that are important to us.

Of course it may not me about me and I will admit to be an overly hormonal paranoid cow worn out by excessive shagging and trying very hard to resist the lure of early pregnancy tests.

oo Salmotrutta, I remember that one, I think it was Astrakhan (which is newborn lambskin, iirc).

Alow - nice try Grin

I like a very old one - where there was a bridezilla who wanted all her guests to appear in pink. That got very silly indeed. Grin

The security light/neighbour one was very boring in comparison - that poster is a bit odd, if you ask me.

Sorry Brigade, we read the slating on the house price forum with amusement as it was so far from the truth but I am a little prickly. Apparently I am a pampered prostitute working her DP into the grave whilst I deride his efforts.
