To not like these fake topiary balls that seem to be springing up outside homes everywhere?

In the garden centre today they were selling the large ones (12 inches across) for £50 shock

Not only could I not get over the cost of them (you could buy two stunning hanging baskets for that much) I just don't "get" them.

Why would you want a fake plastic ball of leaves hanging on a bracket outside your front door? confused

Less maintenance than a hanging basket. My baskets need watering every day, a ball of plasticky tat wouldn't and still wouldn't die.

yabu as I have these and am the epitopy of good taste grin however I have had mine ages before they became common as muck
I like that thay add green to my front door and I'm too lazy to keep a proper hanging basket and look contemporary..... for now...
